People on my twitter feed are thinking that Mariah was lip-synching as well. WTF? She can sing. And it was pre-recorded last night so she had the opportunity for re-takes and editing. So what gives with the fakery?

Sande was a bit of a disappointment for me – liked her recording better. Amber was OK.

Amber and Candace were my favorites. Amber is so spirited and current in her performances and style of dressing. Candace is better vocally, but seems so settled–not that that’s a bad thing necessarily.

That being said, for the “average” viewer, he was: gorgeous. Smiling. A generous partner. Happy to be there.
For us: I/we wanted more.

It broke my heart to see Adam on that stage looking for all the world like the kid the cool kids ignored. So awkward to stand there while Angie and Ryan gushed over the tart.

cwm It seemed like a shortened song and Jesse J stole the thunder out from Adam. Focus was totally on her after Adam/Angie duet. She invited Angie to the UK to perform with her on a future show.
The song Titanium duet wasn’t bad. Vocals were great but I felt Adam held back…generous as Michael Slezak said.
I have to say it seemed like the crowd was really screaming in the background when Adam sang!
I thought Adam sounded magnificent! That duet was beautiful. I wasn’t impressed at all with Jessie J, and her outfit was dreadful. I was sorry to see Adam become an after thought, especially when he did such a stupendous job. He deserves so much better.
cwm…..I think it just seemed as he was an afterthought, no introduction, it was short, then it just seems more was made of her singing with her Idol Jessie J, then speaking to and about Jessie J afterwards and still no Adam mention.
Saying that, it was a good duet, the connection between them was great, lots of strong eye contact.

Idol set Adam up to look like the also-ran. Maybe not intentionally, but there it was.

Had several Adam moments today at work, and one just now during the show. That package that aired last week had a lot of people asking about him.
Some were wondering if he was going to be on tonight. Some were wondering about what he’s been doing. My phone caller and I were talking pop culture, and I know she’s a fan, because we used to talk about him during and after his season. But, haven’t in a few years. Until tonight. She was unaware of TSP and Queen.
jlurks, can I ask you for one more of each DVD? Kiev, St Agathe and Queenbert 3 in London? Please. I promise them a good home.
As I mentioned previously I never liked that song Titanium. I think if I watch a good youtube later I may appreciate it more. Adam’s vocals were amazing IMO.
