After we were showered with Adam goodies in April, let’s see what flowers in May. With recent tweets about new music and GLAAD honoring Adam with the Davidson/Valentini Award, May seems as if it will be a very merry month indeed. And we can’t forget the Life Ball in Vienna later in the month! Let’s hope for more great pics like we had from the CMAs (China not country music), Live Proud PSA and Miami Beach Pride.

    We go to dinner with 10-12 other friends on Thursday nights. I’ll just have to excuse myself early this week. Can’t wait! I’m sure they will understand that a TV show is more important than their friendship…LOL!!!

    Many of you made reference to the video of the Red Carpet where a woman tried to grab Adam and touch his face. The only video I’ve seen of the RC shows someone trying to grab Adam from the side, but it doesn’t actually show the grabber so I can’t see what she actually does.

    Can someone please post the video that shows more? Thanks!

    aw, look at his first avi! He looks so young. Maybe Hopefully, now that he has reached 2 million followers, he will change his current one. I really don’t like it, and that is the first time I have ever publicly said that about a photo of Adam.

    Ok, one more post. Sheesh, I’m such a post-ho, but in the immortal words of Popeye, “I yam what I yam.”

    I just wanted to say that I’m so proud of Adam for his award last night, and for his eloquent, heartfelt, 100% on-point speech. He succinctly, humorously, and effectively conveyed the tightrope he has walked for the past 4 years, navigating his fame and, as he says, trying to represent both himself and his community proudly. And he made reference to the struggles and divisions within the LGBTQ community in a way that respected all sides and sought to find common ground and unity in purpose. I believe him when he says that he has put a lot of effort into this, that he has thought about it a lot, and that it makes him f*cking crazy.

    I ran across this lovely poem yesterday, and I immediately thought of Adam and his journey.

    Just came home to find your last post for the night cwm. I know that you are asleep now, but I just wanted to ask you to keep “post ho”ing for as long as you can. You usually say what I think, but much more eloquently, and find such gems. I loved that poem and it fits Adam perfectly.

    And twilightmagic8 what a wonderful image! I love to think of myself, well all of us together, embracing Adam so closely, with him feeling all snuggly and safe with us around him.

    Who knows if this is really going to happen and if it does I’m not the type of person to say “I told you so” but if this is what Adam and Angie will be singing … “I told you so!”

    If this is the song, and Adam sings full-out, and Angie holds her own, it could be another one of those “Idol moments” listed as Top 10 best of all time.

    I will say that it wasn’t greeted with a lot of enthusiasm here, though.

    I just think that it’s a near perfect song to demonstrate Adam’s vocal abilities from soft and tender to big and bold. With the right set, lighting, and clothes, it could be quite stunning.

    I hope it isn’t a rumour and they kill it..and all the talk will be of Adam at the finale, and course the winner as well, but more about Adam and his amazing, out of this world vocals..

    Ron is right that The Prayer would be absolutely stunning. I would think I died and went to heaven if they sang that! His own songs aren’t really made for duets, no matter how good they are.

    If it does end up being “The Prayer”, I don’t think that the average viewer is going to think, “Oh, I don’t want to listen to this. He didn’t write it”. I don’t think that thought would occur to anyone
    .
    In the bigger picture, it’s the vocal that matters most and, as I mentioned, I think that “The Prayer” can really show what Adam is capable of doing with his voice. Just “wow” the audience into thinking “I LOVE his voice – I’ll buy his music [no matter what it is]”.

    I’m trying to think of an Adam song that would make a great duet and I honestly can’t come up with one! Not as a duet. Frown

    It’s probably all a rumor anyway. We’ll see …

    I don’t know, OOL, Underneath, IIHY, Runnin, PTL My point is NO ONE comes on there to sing someone else’s song. I think the audience, that remembers him but does not follow him, will say Oh here is that guy with the amazing voice, Gee too bad he doesn’t have anything out of his own to do.
    He needs to promote HIS Music. I’m not in favor of MW either because it is still not his song. Makes him look liks a cover artist, again.

    *Disclaimer* this is just my opinion without ever watching any of Idol this year except for Adam’s “package”.
    I know that whatever he does he will just slay it, he always does

    He never say PUU live, said it was to hard to sing. Its Ebers favorite song from the album. I would just love if he sang Runnin, but never singing it before, I dont think he will take a chance on it first. I cant even think of what he will sing, but I hope not MW or WWFM, too in the past. Remember he is there to promote Angie, so will they have him do one of his songs? I dont know. There is no one there during practice, that can give us a hint, so we dont have to be in a twit about this Laugh Grin ROTFL

    cwm, you asked for the red carpet video showing the woman touching Adam’s face. I found this one, I don’t know if it is the only one. Look at minute 1:08. He backs away before giving her a quick hug. Then she hangs on to his shoulder while he seems to be trying to walk away.

    I don’t know when, 5 or 6 years ago probably, but Tony Bennett sang “For Once In My Life”.

    Just a couple of years ago, he did a duet with Haley Reinhart on her season’s finale and they sang “Stepping Out With My Baby”.

    Tony didn’t write those songs. Wink

    Well, there’s an exception to every rule and maybe Tony Bennett is it in this case. But you’re quite right that, by far, most guest artist’s do sing their own material when they appear on Idol.

    We need something to Angst over, might as well be “what are they going to sing?” LOL

    ok nit-picker Ron I stand corrected. I would not have known if Tony Bennett recorded those songs or not, seems he has had just about every song imaginable on one album or another.

    As far as what Adam will sing on Idol this week, I have no idea!. I don’t even know if I could venture a guess. The Prayer is breathtakingly lovely and shows off his voice, but I am not sure that that is the Rock/Pop Star image that Adam and the producers want to portray. I also think that it is important to highlight his own material, but what is known other than WWFM? And I don’t want to hear again. With a good producer just about anything can be made into a duet. I love PUU and dream of hearing it live some day. “Full Circle”? hmm, Did I hear that Brian May is in California right now? A duet with Angie of WATC would really be a full circle, four years after singing it on his own finale, returning to sing it as a guest artist. Whatever is chosen, we have to remember that the goal is to highlight Angie and not Adam, so Adam will do everything in his power to make her the star and not to outshine her. He is generous and a gentleman that way. I remember how generous Cyndi Lauper was in her duet with Allison on season 8 finale night. That is the only song I remember other than Adam’s performances.

    Every time Adam is caught by paps with a guy, he does something goofy as a distraction lately. He is most assuredly not holding hands, not looking romantic or sweet with anyone.

    Methinks it is very on purpose.

    Oh how his voice soars here. It is at a High Holiday service at the Temple of the Arts in LA before he auditioned for Idol.

    I can’t even imagine the majesty of hearing that voice at a service. I mean, we have a cantor with a gorgeous tenor voice, but, Adam?? OY VEY!!!

    Agree with so much of what you post, mils, but that recording with Pierce is, to me, like chalk on a blackboard. Adam sounds beautiful – what you can hear of him – but her voice – wow – so shrill and loud.
