After we were showered with Adam goodies in April, let’s see what flowers in May. With recent tweets about new music and GLAAD honoring Adam with the Davidson/Valentini Award, May seems as if it will be a very merry month indeed. And we can’t forget the Life Ball in Vienna later in the month! Let’s hope for more great pics like we had from the CMAs (China not country music), Live Proud PSA and Miami Beach Pride.

    Uh oh nekkid just texted me to see if I am okay. Sorry, I didn’t think about the ER part of my post, it was just stream of consciousness.
    I just gashed my forehead, walked into a protruding part of a fire escape. Lots of blood, they glued me together, gonna stay home tomorrow. I’ll have a scar but it won’t be terrible.
    A mothers’ day to remember!

    You mean the one that I deleted because I mucked up the block-quote with the bold type where I commented that Kradamour shouldn’t have had one too many Kir Royal’s that made her bump into a fire escape and that she shouldn’t do that again but a scar on her forehead could never detract from her beautiful face because anyone who’s met her knows that she’s beautiful and those who will meet her will know what I’m talking about?

    Happy belated Birthday mils!

    On birthdays here it is traditional to say “Until 120” (it is a Bible reference about living a very long life). There is a cute change that has been made to it to say “Until 100 like 20! I guess that is the equivalent of our staying 29 forever. So take your pick, 20 or 29, just continue to have fabulous music and family filled birthdays.     I find this one so touching. It shows Leila on the side watching Adam on the red carpet. I wish I could read her thoughts. She must be bursting with pride to see what her little boy has become, so confident and self assured, a leader and role model who people recognize and listen to as having something of value to say, not to mention, of course, a world wide singing sensation with millions of devoted fans, a killer voice, and a gorgeous face….And he is still her little boy, always will be.

    Just got up (the good thing about my accident is that I get to stay home today!) and saw your comment recap, Ron…too funny! Dunno about the beautiful part, but I am bound to be enhanced by this Harry Potter scar that I will have. Alas, nothing so fun as a kir royal was involved…I took my mother shopping for flowers for her window boxes, stooped to pick something up, stood up quickly without realizing I was under a metal protuberance, and oh well.
    The best part is that today is the day I renew my military ID. The photo will be gorgeous!

    Loving all the press for the GLAAD awards. Have listened to that speech many times and love it more each time. It was brave and honest. You could tell that Adam was just a little bit out of his comfort zone, which made it even more powerful.

    I don’t think I ever watched it to the very end before; even then, with an almost defiant look, and apparently a last-minute decision to say it, Adam called out that the LGBT community needed to celebrate diversity in the community.

    I have watched his speech dozens of times. I think it is just so heartfelt & awesome. Almost brings a tear to my eye. He is just amazing. I think he’s reading from a teleprompter. Big Smile

    Considering he even messes up the lyrics to his songs, Calgary, perhaps he didn’t want to take any chances here. The important thing, I believe, was that it was obvious he meant every word. Such a charmer and so handsome standing there.

    Yeah, you’re probably right, ulti It was such a fabulous speech, so much content in a short time, really damn near perfect, and beautifully delivered, too.
    On the boards ‘over there’ there is a clip from the 2009 tour where an interviewer compliments him on his public speaking and his response is, “I love to talk” Big Smile

    Wasn’t there another clip where he was asked what talent(s) he had besides singing, and the only thing he mentioned was that he was good with people?

    Well, all I can say is that what he’s got is good enough for me – lol.

    Hi Ron~
    During this past season, I remember that the judges gave him a hard time about his advice to one or more of the contestants. I believe Kree was one of them (whom I adore, by the way, even though I am not at all a country fan). I’m wondering if this could possibly be in the back of his mind as he contemplates being a judge.

    fwachdr, I learned something in the ER. Go in bleeding like a stuck pig, and they will see you IMMEDIATELY. So the next time anyone has an emergency, I think it would be wise to make a superficial but very bloody cut just before you go in.
    Just a thought.

    I completed the AI survey. It indicates that it should take about 5 minutes but I finished it in about 1 minute.

    The last part is left open for comments. I filled that part out by recommending that Adam sit on the judge’s panel next season.

    I have kind of mixed feelings – just a little – about Adam being a judge on Idol but, the last I read, he’d love to have the job so I demanded politely suggested that they hire him.

    Kradamour I feel so bad for you about our head trauma. Hopefully, it will heal better than you think!

    About our miltary ID, yikes you’ll have to look at the photo for some time. The timing of that is unreal.
    I just renewed mine last month.
