Okay, so I told you all I would have Adam on the brain tonight at Il Divo. And I did. I had two Adam moments. Both were while in line for things. By the way, the show was simply magnificent.
The first was while in line for a ridiculous amount of time for the ladies room before the show. Why was the wait so long? Because Il Divo was using one of the ladies lounges ( old theater, gorgeous lounges, for their meet and greets ) .
Anywho, ladies tend to chat in line, and the gal in front of me was quite chatty, so, we were talking music, theater, etc. She asked me if I watch Idol. I said, yes, who do you like? Yada yada. She loves our guy. Has never seen him, bought FYE, and asked the standard, “do you know what he’s been up to for the last couple of years? I filled her in on a few key points and mentioned that he was winning a major award in SF tonight. Her closing comment: He has the most gorgeous eyes I’ve ever seen.
She also mentioned that there are some people who have seen Il Divo a dozen times. Saying, can you imagine that? I just said, well, why yes, yes I can!
My second Adam moment was while waiting to get into the elevator at the parking structure after the show. Gah!! Horrors! What was THAT about? Anyway, the lady next to me wasn’t 29. She was “39.” She’s a complete groupie. I mentioned to her that I thought I spotted a group of fans up front who seemed to be groupies. She said she was up front. They had their cell phones going crazy before the show, all seemed to know each other, the guys of Il Divo seemed to know them, they were all “39”, it just looked familiar…hmmm.
I never mentioned Adam to her. She was talking about how fans meet online and meet up and travel to see them. They’ve even gone…to London to see them and travel around Europe going to shows. They have become friends. She literally asked me “can you imagine that?” I just grinned and nodded, and for the second time tonight said, “well, yes. I can imagine that.”

That woman in the video looks familiar. She seemed entitled and creeped Adam out, he couldn’t get away from her fast enough. Sadz.
I also spotted a certain well-known fan with Adam posing for a picture. She goes everywhere. Many many of us have met her.
After seeing how another musical entourage interacts with super-fans, I guess it’s par for the course to have certain fans show up over and over. I guess they get used to it. Unless it is a creepy fan.
I would never touch somebody’s face. It’s too personal and such an invasion of personal space. Besides, it may mess up hair and makeup. #Creepyfan

Don’t throw bananas at me, I kinda liked Leila’s dress. It’s cute that they both wore McQueen. I have a feeling that dress was more beautiful in person.

What a wonderful thing to wake up to! Love Adam (surprise, surprise!), Love his look! Love Leila! Her look? Not so flattering, sorry. Love that he got the music award, too, but why didn’t they make a bigger deal about it?
And who is Mel B? A member of a defunct girl group? Is she a big enough name to have presented Adam with the award? She certainly seemed to love him and got lots of applause, but still…
I loved Adam’s speech. Somehow he knows how to say the right things and he hit the nail on the head about where the community is at the moment and why there are so many mixed messages going out. In just a few minutes he managed to talk both about the diversity and the bond that ties everyone together (love) while looking classy and yet keeping his Rock Star image (he has to throw in one f**k, doesn’t he, lol). Like I said, Love him!

Guess I’m in the minority. I loved Leila’s dress. The green color is my favorite. It’s probably real stretchy. You have to wear spanx or something to wear it.
His speech was amazing. He said what he’s been wanting to say on a public platform (well, at this awards show). Love that he mentioned the Stonewall generation … that they paved the way for the current generation. Although there are 2 different perspectives, there is one common thread…love.

I think he distorts his face not for the reasons that are mentioned but because he knows he’s being “objectified” and wants to send a message that beauty doesn’t mean anything. He can look like a snarly dork but it’s inner beauty that counts. I’m sure I’m wrong.

Mel B was Scary Spice, and has or had her own reality show in the states, she’s been living in LA for a few years. One of her daughters is Eddie Murphys, although he didn’t want anything to do with it and denied it, but I think a paternity test proved she was his. (this is from memory…so hope I’m remembering correctly!)
She was also a judge on Australia X factor I think, and now AGT,
She’s still so English, despite her years in the states…..shitting bricks, LOL haven’t heard that in a while…
Adams speech was great….there didn’t seem to be much applause in the GLAAD video though.

The Rolling Stones invited a local high school chorus…Green Valley High School in Las Vegas to sing with them last night in “You Can’t Always Get What You Want”.
Have always wondered what Adam song would be interesting with a chorus behind it.
