After we were showered with Adam goodies in April, let’s see what flowers in May. With recent tweets about new music and GLAAD honoring Adam with the Davidson/Valentini Award, May seems as if it will be a very merry month indeed. And we can’t forget the Life Ball in Vienna later in the month! Let’s hope for more great pics like we had from the CMAs (China not country music), Live Proud PSA and Miami Beach Pride.

    Two, two and one half years must be the breaking point for many. Crystal Bowersox just separated from her husband of two plus years. She’s been on the road a lot and is doing Broadway soon. I feel sorry for her son who’s four now as I think his stepfather did a lot of the child care while Mom was on tour. I really liked her first CD but haven’t checked the second one out yet. I still follow Sauli and he seems to be still smiling as is Adam. Someone did mention that Adam seemed to be making a lot of strange faces when he has his picture taken lately. Especially when he’s out in clubs. Adam denied the meaning of Bagel and coffee so I wonder if he’ll let this one pass. Shock Question Confused

    SOUTH Shields singing star Joe McElderry is heading Stateside.

    The X Factor and Popstar to Operastar champ is set to travel across the pond to perform in America for the first time.

    The 21-year-old will open for American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert at Pride in the Street – one of a series of events at Pittsburgh Pride.

    The event, for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community, will be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, from June 14 to 16.

    Joe, from Westoe, will perform on June 15.

    He said: “It’s really exciting to be asked to go over there and perform. Adam called me and asked me to go and do it.
    “Apparently there’s a lot of excitement building up for it over there, and it’s just amazing to think that people in America, are looking forward to seeing me perform. …..

    ….. The event will see Joe perform alongside Adam, who came second in the talent show in 2009 – the same year Joe won the X Factor.

    The show will be on an outdoor stage in Liberty Avenue, in downtown Pittsburgh. …..

    Jojosie, I definitely see the resemblance to Kris. I posted a while ago that he looks to me like a combination of Kris Allen and the Biebs.
    (Not implying that he sounds like Biebs, or is as dysfunctional.)

    asifclueless, drool is right! That pic he looks so relaxed, minimal make-up, tan and healthy! Regarding Joe McElderry, don’t you think when you watch that video with George Michael that Joe looks like he could be his son? Ages are right I think since that is in 2009 when Joe won Xfactor UK and I think he was only about 17/18 then wasn’t he? I don’t usually follow Xfactor UK but I did that season and was very glad Joe won – another exceptional voice like Adam. But compare Joe and George. Joe has dimples, George has dimples (although not as pronounced as Joe’s). Then age Joe 20 years or more.

    Interesting that Adam called Joe to do the Pride event. Anyone know if there was a previous event where Adam would have met Joe before? Or did he just call him out of the blue? Adam – he is too young for you!

    I don’t watch Idol, but I do read about it in the paper and most of the press is about the dysfunctional judging panel that is a detriment to the show.
    DELIGHTED that Adam isn’t part of the train wreck!

    Joe is 21 per the article posted above. Not that I think there’s anything between them, but there are plenty of couples with even more age diffs j/s. The full article says he’s done a number of Pride events in the UK. I think they met on one of A’s FYE promo trips, back when he was competing or had just won Xfactor.

    My thought is this…
    American Idol hasn’t exactly been receiving stellar ratings this season. They are counting on us (Glamberts) to rectify that situation. They know that Adam has a HUGE fan base out there. I am not at all surprised that they plan to ‘advertise’ during tonight’s show.
