After what has seemed like an eternally long wait since Adam’s Glam Nation/FYE era ended, we have finally arrived at May 2012 – the month that Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! The album will drop in the U.S. & Canada on May 15th. Lucky fans in New Zealand & Japan will get the album a few days earlier on May 11th, Australia & Germany a few days later on May 18th, while some other European countries (U.K., Ireland, France) will have to wait until July. In addition to the album release, we can look forward to three concerts with Adam headlining this month, the KRZ Summer Bash in Wilkes-Barre PA on May 25th, at Six Flags New England on May 26th, and the Freshtival in National Harbor MD on May 27th. We will also see Adam perform on American Idol May 17th, will have the official push of “Never Close Our Eyes” to pop radio beginning on May 29, and may see the music video for NCOE later this month as well!

Thanks for this nkd. It proves what I was sure of all along. Adam got writing and composing credits for Underneath! So while he maybe didn’t write the original song, he had a hand in making it his own. It is so personal and he sings it with so much emotion and conviction, I couldn’t understand how he didn’t write it.
On the other hand, he didn’t write Naked Love, which surprised me.

I have skype and I love it (I spoke to riskylady and cher for an hour and a half each last week) but I am so self conscious about how I look on the camera. I am a photographer, so I take pictures of other people but don’t let people take pictures of me.
In addition to letting us know you, see you, and hear your voice, do you realise that you are probably the only person here who uses his/her real name? That speaks volumes about a person.

I remember Adam’s interview with on Chelsea Lately after the AMA’s. She was her usual, sometimes annoying, irreverent self, but she was totally accepting of Adam and told him that he can do anything he wants on her show, so that was good.
I really hope that he returns to the show, because it is one of the few that are actually shown here, albeit with a delay, so I will have to find out just how much of one. Jimmy Kimmel is also shown here and Adam will be on this Sunday.

Adams causing a little stir this morning with his twitter about Idols. I wish he’d left the last sentence off as fans of Hollie and P2 aren’t happy and I don’t blame them. He did it last year too. He’s entitled to his opinion but just name your favorites and leave it at that. I know he’s unfiltered at times. I know Jessica and Josh are great technical singers but I seriously doubt if I would buy their music as to me they both lack the IT factor that appeals to me. It’s a good thing that we all don’t like the same thing as it would be very boring without variety. He likes good technical singers and yet he’s a fan of Madonna and Katy Perry, who neither one really excells in that area, but they have the IT factor and I have really gotten fond of Katy’s style.

And I disagree with the ‘its a singing’ competition part, as we all know its not just a singing competition, if that were true Adam would have won!!!!! But its also about looks, style, personality, likeability, and IT factor.

Because of these large market adds and some good daytime spins, the song has a larger audience impression (AI) than any other below #39, except for BTIKM which is now quickly dropping through the 40s.

Most of these spins are coming from our friends at WKRZ Wilkes-Barre (the sponsors of the May 25 concert), as they gave the song 23 spins in the week ending Monday. 29,000 downloads (debut) reported April 25. I haven’t seen any numbers yet for the second week sales, but they probably aren’t high as the song is not getting much airplay yet.
Incidentally, BTIKM reported 4,000 downloads for the week ending May 3, with a total of 123,000 to date. For comparison, IIHY reported 2,000 downloads for the week of May 3 and 892,000 total to date, and WWFM had 3,000 for the week of May 3 and 1,895,000 total to date.

I woke up this morning, headed for the coffee pot and thought, “Oh, it’s probably going to be a slow day in Adamland… Still, better check in with mj and ALL just in case.” Lo and behold, he tweets and voila, we have another bruhaha!! TBH, I probably would prefer he didn’t throw in the “sweep the floor” comment, but on the other hand, that’s Adam and part of why I love him. He’s sincere and honest and I adore him.
I agree, Carrie didn’t bring it vocally like she usually does last night, but that sure was a pretty leg she shared through the slit in her dress. I’ve never liked her voice much, although she’s typically on pitch and very nice to look at. Don’t like the way she stands while singing either, but most folks in this area flove her.
Speaking of “this area”, little Hollie on AI is from McKinney, which is just about 30 minutes down the road from me! I really like this little girl – she seems strong and happy, and must have alot of self-confidence to deal with the ridiculously negative comments she’s gotten from time to time from the *judges*. I miss Simon, Paula and even Kara so much – they usually had appropriate comments, while the current batch just give the contestants the proverbial “tongue bath”; when they try to critique, it just sounds stupid to me. I couldn’t believe how they criticized Jessica’s dress last night – and for so long.
I’m looking forward to seeing Howard Stern on AGT next week – he’s really gotten me interested in watching a show I was never interested in watching before!

luval, it may be because his tweet re his idol opinion started with another person’s twitter name. That technically makes it a reply rather than a tweet, which may not show up if you don’t follow the person he “replied” to (even though it wasn’t really a reply).
In general regarding this Idol thing, this is the usual BS where any other Idol such as KA can have whatever opinion they want, but if Adam states his opinion then the gates of hell open online, particularly on MJs. I haven’t been there today because I know pretty much what is being said and by whom. Just the usual suspects. Be prepared for them to hate Adam’s performance on May 17 too, regardless of its actual merit.

Hi, kradamour, I think the reason so many of us go to MJ’s is that she also covers such a variety of shows that many of us watch/follow such as Glee, DWTS, etc. That’s why I go there usually just to read. Occasionally I want to post something but don’t know how since she changed the format…so I just read.
ETA: I usually just read the daily headlines. I don’t go there every day, usually on Idol nights (Wednesday and Thursday) since I’m watching this season of Idol.
The last 3 tweets I saw were Deep Honey, Gavin Degraw & rebels on the run. But eywflyer’s reason makes sense so that’s what I’ll assume happened.
