After what has seemed like an eternally long wait since Adam’s Glam Nation/FYE era ended, we have finally arrived at May 2012 – the month that Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! The album will drop in the U.S. & Canada on May 15th. Lucky fans in New Zealand & Japan will get the album a few days earlier on May 11th, Australia & Germany a few days later on May 18th, while some other European countries (U.K., Ireland, France) will have to wait until July. In addition to the album release, we can look forward to three concerts with Adam headlining this month, the KRZ Summer Bash in Wilkes-Barre PA on May 25th, at Six Flags New England on May 26th, and the Freshtival in National Harbor MD on May 27th. We will also see Adam perform on American Idol May 17th, will have the official push of “Never Close Our Eyes” to pop radio beginning on May 29, and may see the music video for NCOE later this month as well!

Ron, I;m with Sparkle, Don;t go into hiding, I love reading your posts, such a great sense of humour, and don’t feel you were forcing your video on us, we all chose to watch it…it was great putting a face and name to a tag.
I’m also with mils in that I thought the Chelsea interview was fun, and I thought Adam seemed to enjoy it…maybe I should go and look at it again in case I’m remembering it wrong.
re Beiber, would definitely like to see someone answer the question about the album covers. But as to not talented I will stick up for him a little bit. I went to see him in concert last year with my youngest who was a huge Beiber fan, It was actually OK, and he sang the slower songs live, did a bit of dancing, played the drums etc. Always thought he was an OK role model for young girls, cute, clean cut, no hidden story of drugs (that we know of..), but I also agree with whoever it was said he seems to be struggling a bit to change from a teen heartthrob. Can’t comment on his new single as I haven’t heard it.
Would just like to add that while my 10yo still likes JB her main focus is now on one direction, especially Liam…so maybe The Beibs has a right to be worried as 1D are knocking on his door..

I researched the guy who was writing the nasty snarky stuff, a Grady Smith, recent Virginia college grad, Christian group leader at college. Noticed in last week’s mag that he is no longer covering music stuff.
Remember when RS and MTV forgot that Adam existed? I’m just happy to see him back on everybody’s pages in a good way!!!
I think Adam’s music is literate pop, quality genre-mixing pop for people of all ages, hence his audiences. That Kimmel audience was very mixed, and seemed like lots more men. My tween granddaughters love him, so does my daughter and daughters-in-law (in their early 40’s). And hubby. And, I think he’ll get club/dance play too like he did with some FYE songs. Int’l radio seems to like him a lot, as do the 20-somethings. Not worried. I think his events will sell, and his tour too.
Granddaughters have no clue who is 1D. Go figure..I haven’t heard them much on the radio here either. They have a concert here next month, girls declined to go.
That MLB place is fabulous. 4th and Broadway, 15,000 sq ft with a small concert area, arcade, bar, good place to have a mini-concert I think. They have others scheduled too.

Just checked the bonus snippets. With the time limitation of 30 seconds, I feel that Running can be a Top 40 Pop song. I love the sound of Nirvana. The other one, Take It Back, doesn’t do anything for me. It actually sounds a little dated. JMO.
And, I wanted to say that I thought the Chelsea Lately interview was great. She is so…what? Is irreverent the word I’m looking for? Would love to see him on her show again now that he’s been so visible.
Talking about college kids and Chelsea Lately, my college daughter loves watching Chelsea Lately. It does have a market in that age group.

So excited to hear Adam’s beginning to show back up in some of the bigger entertainment publications. That’s quite a coup for him, IMO, and somewhat encouraging, that he could “disappear” (from the general public, that is; there’s no hiding from us uber-fans! LOL) for over a year to write his new album and then be so readily embraced (to at least some degree) at the start of his second era. I just cant wait until the 15th!
Liking the snippets (gahhhh, my willpower has deserted me again). Told hubby he can prepare for some alone time because I will be immersed in that album as of 5/15 until further notice.
I fully expect Entertainment Weekly to give Adam the full page primary review for Trespassing in their Music section. Not the secondary review and certainly not filed under “Quick Takes”.
I received the current issue today and in their Entertainment Weekly Calendar of “Stuff We’re Looking Forward to”, for May 15th, they list only two names. Adam and Lisa Marie Presley. So, they are paying attention and that’s encouraging!
I’d hold off on subscribing again luval until they print their review. I’ll be decidedly disappointed, based upon what I’ve heard, if it’s given anything less than an A-. I’ll be okay with a B+ but anything lower than that and I’m unsubscribing after a 15 years-or-so membership. On this, I’m ADAM-ant.
I listen to the snippet of “Running” and all I can think of are those dorky jogging photos. Not ideal.
My first impression is that they did pick the strongest songs for the regular album version, and that is an accomplishment in itself. Last time around, I was not happy that neither Voodoo and DTRH made it onto FYE.

Could someone take a look at the EW article? at 6pm he mentions doing the Crystal Waters line in Naked Love. To me it sounds like he only did that for Kimmel…not on the recorded song. I loved it! Am I reading this wrong?

Hollie was the correct one to stay tonight.PP should have left a long time ago. I thought I read Carrie was going to be on tape tonight, but it was live. Wonder if Adam’s will be? With all the traveling he’ll be doing around that time I still think he may try to sing live. He’s so insistent on that, although it’s called “live on tape” these days.

I agree about the “rap”. Have to admit I had to go look it up. Never heard the song before. I was wondering where that came from in Naked Love, because while I liked it, it was a little different.
The interesting part about the article to me was the part about the tweet he read for a future episode. I have seen these on Kimmel, they are pretty funny.

A Trespassing/NCOE ad just interrupted my youtube viewing.
First time that I actually watched one of those ads without skipping at the first opportunity. Now I’m clicking on more videos just to see if I can see the ad again!
Oh and Ron (or is that Rauhn?), you are a braver man than I. Loved seeing you “live” and hopefully we’ll get to see more than a 30 second test shoot. You could do a video blog like GloZell the one who feels that she could convert Adam. You wouldn’t have to do any converting, just conversing.

So, after the crapfest that was Idol tonight, I have a couple of questions and a few comments:
1) Was anybody else bored by Carrie?
2) The judges stayed at their table for her. Wonder if they will do the same for Adam, or leave like they did last year?
3) How in the world can JLo be a judge and not know the songs that they are covering? She is paid several millions and doesn’t do her homework? WTF?
4) I believe PP will win. He’s a WGWG. If he wasn’t eliminated after his less than stellar performances last night, he’s in it to stay. Young tweens are voting for him.
5) How in the world did Coldplay get to perform twice?? Aren’t there prior Idols the audience would rather see??

Why is Coldplay popular? The lead singer was awful, and the performance was a hot mess. Won’t take much for Adam to do better than that!
About younger people listening to Adam or not. I have two sons in the older teen, college age, have two college age nephews, and among all their friends, I can say this:
They do not listen to pop music. At all. Ever. Or watch reality TV.
They listen to Indie stuff, alternative music and rap/hip-hop. My nephew is a popular DJ at his Top 10 campus in my state. A real party school. The party school that teaches other schools how to party. He specializes in re-mixes. He said to me recently that pop music makes him feel nauseous. So I rolled my eyes at him. It actually felt good!!
I still believe that Trespassing will be popular with female college students. But, by and large, they aren’t the DJ’s at college radio stations. It is still a male dominated field.
But, I’ll bet dimes to dollars, that Trespassing will be playing a lot at the gay clubs on campus!!
When did the judges leave last year, glambotgram – was it during “Aftermath”? Or something else – can’t remember.
