After what has seemed like an eternally long wait since Adam’s Glam Nation/FYE era ended, we have finally arrived at May 2012 – the month that Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! The album will drop in the U.S. & Canada on May 15th. Lucky fans in New Zealand & Japan will get the album a few days earlier on May 11th, Australia & Germany a few days later on May 18th, while some other European countries (U.K., Ireland, France) will have to wait until July. In addition to the album release, we can look forward to three concerts with Adam headlining this month, the KRZ Summer Bash in Wilkes-Barre PA on May 25th, at Six Flags New England on May 26th, and the Freshtival in National Harbor MD on May 27th. We will also see Adam perform on American Idol May 17th, will have the official push of “Never Close Our Eyes” to pop radio beginning on May 29, and may see the music video for NCOE later this month as well!

Our featured photo for this month’s chat comes from Adam’s mini-concert of April 26th on the Jimmy Kimmel show.

It’s going to be an exciting month as we begin the Trespassing era, enjoy the chat!

Yes, luval – that Chelsea Lately interview was a real stinkeroo. Was that the one where she brought out some guy and said he was gay and would Adam be interested – or something gross like that? Just remember didn’t like her big blabbermouth.

  2. ultimathule says:

Don’t think I’ve ever heard Bieber on the radio – not that I listen that much. What kind of station would he be on?

  3. milwlovesadam says:

Bieber is on top 40 stations, like I heart Radio, etc. He’s on the playlist of every station like that here.

Why are we talking about Chelsea Lately? Is he booked again? I actually thought that interview was funny. She welcomed him with open arms when others cancelled him. She told him he could come back anytime and do whatever he wants to do on TV. The gay guy joke was just the kind of humor she uses. It’s raunchy and OTT and meant to be. She’s a female Howard Stern, and gets away with a lot. She has a panel of “experts” that discuss current events and pop culture, with several panelists that are very out and proud gay men and women. I find it hilarious. Whatever, to each their own.

  4. luval says:

Beiber has one song right now on top 40 radio. It is horrible. And I’m not just saying that because I’m not a fan.

  5. luval says:

Mils, he’s tentatively booked for May 10th on Chelsea Lately. I thought Adam was embarrassed and uncomfortable on that first visit. Hopefully it will be different next time.

  6. milwlovesadam says:

Ron, I loved your video. It was great to hear your voice. You have a wonderful presence and an air that says “performer.” I know you have been a singer, and have a flair for costumes and fine clothing. It was wonderful to put movement and audio to your face! No apologies needed here. I feel like i know you a little better now. I do so look forward to meeting you some day!

  7. milwlovesadam says:

Thanks luval. Looks like I’ll be programming my DVR again!

I think Adam was nervous after the AMA’s in every interview, except with Michelle Collins, which was just online, it wasn’t for TV.

Does Chelsea tape in LA? Or NY? Adam is gonna be soooo busy in May.

  8. milwlovesadam says:

Yes, I caught Biber’s song the other day. Awful!! And that gets airplay? And we have to beg for NCOE???

  9. Kradamour says:

Re the fetus…I hate to say anything good about him, but actually I think he can sing. He was discovered by Usher – or was it Drake? – and made a protege…and frankly I think that may have ruined the rest of his life.
He seems to be very full of himself (but how could he not be, with the adulation and adoration that have swirled around him when he was way too young to handle it?) and he actually seems to be a little bit lost now as he matures and has to think about rebranding himself from the teen/preteen hearthrob.
I think I feel some sympathy for the boy. And I actually do like the boyfriend song, but I don’t need to hear it too often and I don’t see myself downloading it. But on the radio in the car I like it.

  10. Oksana2000 says:

    Good Afternoon my friends!
    My 3 cents:
    1. Does Adam own any piece of clothing that costs less than $400? (Excluding socks and underwear) Our boy has an expensive taste, I have to say..
    2. I like Chelsea Handler. I think she is hilarious and a perfect match for Adam. And after infamous AMA she was the one of the few that had him on their talk show.
    3. Sent Kimmel vids to my friend who is Adam fan, unfortunately the only thing she was talking about after watching it were The Pants!!! Smile
    4. I seriously wish that some of rabid Adam fans would not make idiotic comments on Kris Allen threads and everywhere else. It gives us, normal fans bad reputation and is embarassing.(I never thought I would say that)
    5. I can’t wait for May 15 and I’m ordering UK album version (Like I didn’t do it the last time, right?)
    6. I hope that NCOE vid will come out on or before May 17th. It would be perfect.

    7. And last, but not least.. Couldn’t AO sell these 6 glorious litographs separately??? Me wants.!!

    OK, it was 7 cents..

  11. ultimathule says:

Don’t watch TV much so only saw Lately that one time with Adam. Not my kind of humor – prefer someone clever like Justin Lee Collins – the overseas interviewers tend to be better than those in the U.S. Perhaps because being gay is less of an issue.

  12. luval says:

Beautiful day here in Central New York. Was walking from work to my car…I work & live in a University area with many fraternities & sororities. Every nice day what do I hear blasting from these places?…..RAP RAP & MORE RAP. And it isn’t the kind that intersperses singing, just the hard core stuff.

I think the audience that Adam has now is it. No breaking into the college crowd in any way. Oh well, it is what it is. At least I don’t hear Bieber. No gaga or Katy Perry either.

We’re listening to @AdamLambert’s new album at the office and I’m dancing in my chair. #Trespassing is such a fantastic dance record.

I’m hearing #Trespassing from it playing in another office but it is cohesive, electric and massive. @AdamLambert is bringing it for summer.

The snippets don’t begin to show how big these songs go. #Trespassing exceeds anything @AdamLambert has done. I’m freaking out.

The dance songs are massive and the slower songs have the most incredible builds and swelling verses. It’s a perfect orgasm. #Trespassing

I’m completely jealous and I want it now, please!

The MLB FC is in NYC. I wonder how the Idol appearance fits into this. Will he pre-tape Idol?

  16. Oksana2000 says:

luval, UK version is on preorder on Amazon UK.

  17. milwlovesadam says:

Idol is MAy 17th in LA.

  18. milwlovesadam says:

Oksana do you have a link?

  19. nkd says:

From the same guy. He is still going on about Trespassing!

You better be ready to dance. It’s sonic electric. #Trespassing

    Alex Goldschmidt ‏ @alexandergold
#Trespassing is definitely made to be listened to at the highest volume with the best headphones. Glamberts, the wait is almost over! xx

You glamberts tweeting me should trend #TrespassingMay15 for @AdamLambert. He should be proud – one of the best of the year. #Trespassing

  21. nkd says:

Yeah, Idol is May 17 in LA, he’ll be in NY on the 14th and then in Chicago on the 18th beginning the radio shows.
I was wondering out loud if he may pre-tape Idol to cut down on cross continental travel!

  22. luval says:

Anyone get their People magazine this week. Page 28. Nice little “Tot Shots” about Adam. Has his yearbook pic with an inset of how he looks now. Gorgeous “now” picture.

    paragraph:

    “Year:2000 Grade 12
The American Idol alum, 30, has come a long way from singing in the choir at San Diego’s Mt. Carmel High School. His new album Trespassing, which includes the single “Never Close Our Eyes”. drops on May 15.

    nice.

  23. Oksana2000 says:

Mils, luval, if you have Amazon.com account, buying item from Amazon UK is no problem. I just did it.

  24. nkd says:
  25. luval says:

    Thanks, Oksana. I’ll try it!

MLB…Major League Baseball?? what the hell is that all about? Smile

  26. Oksana2000 says:

After reading on MJs about these Radio Concerts that Adam is booked on, I came to conclusion that this is the biggest rip-off of the Century. Apparently performers are doing it for free in hope that radio will spin their songs, and radio is charging hefty dollars for the tickets. And some of the concerts are in the big arenas.
Unless I misunderstood the whole deal.
And radio might play your music or not.Wrrrrrr…

  27. Oksana2000 says:

I am refusing to buy any other album version that has any additional songs!!!! US and UK version is enough for me.
However I bought Sleepwalker single just for the pretty cover (hangs her head in shame)

  28. ultimathule says:

luval – When RS comes I look at the back page to see what’re the Top 10 Albums on College Radio:
This issue had: Andrew Bird, The Shins, Sleigh Bells, The Men, Grimes, Delta Spirit, Tennis, The Magnetic Fields, Bear in Heaven, and HUNX. Know about half of these – guess I’ll check out the rest just to get a feel for them.

Adam and Baseball Fans?? Who got that bright idea??? Anyway, the place will be full of Glamberts who don’t give a pluck about baseball.

  30. ultimathule says:

Maybe there’ll be a lot of guys at MLB – needs more men fans. Who knows – maybe this’ll help.

  31. Oksana2000 says:

My friends, if you wanna donate to a noble cause (reads: increase Trespassing sales) you can buy Adam’s album for GLBT youth in Texas. Link:

Since I found this site a few days ago, 100 albums were donated.

  32. ultimathule says:

All these songs we haven’t heard – this is number six? Didn’t he say he wrote about forty songs and maybe other singers might want them?

  33. luval says:

Here’s something on the MLB Cave. Seems a little too “busy” for me. LOL

  34. ultimathule says:

Looks like an appropriate place to sing “Kickin’ In,” luval

  35. ultimathule says:

    Thanks, Oksana – donated.

  36. Kradamour says:

Re luval‘s post: pretty much all of our young demographic radio stations are just (as riskylady so eloguently puts it) rap and crap.
“College radio” in RS, unless I am mistaken, is the radio stations run by college kids, not necessarily (and not usually) what most students listen to. College stations tend to be very progressive, heavily indie/alternative. And small and underpowered.
My son and his housemates listen to stuff that has to be turned off when I visit, because the language is too raw for parental listening. It is the stuff luval posted about. And walking on campus? It is all I hear. Ditto for campuses down here in Norfolk (son is in Richmond). These are middle-class white students, by the way.
Son likes Adam in a general sort of way, enjoyed GN in Paris and Norfolk, but not really a fan. He thinks Trespassing is fairly lame. I played the snippets and he got bored after a couple of minutes, said it sounded too old-school.
Adam is neither fish nor fowl, I fear. And as fabulous as he is as a musician, he is a musician’s musician. Talent is pretty irrelevant to today’s kids, and autotune is fine with them. Adam’s voice is not necessarily an asset in that context.
But you know, it doesn’t really matter who is buying music and attending concerts, as long as someone is. And we are! So I don’t think Adam will run out of the 400 dollarses to buy clothing items anytime soon.

  37. luval says:

Kradamour!!! That’s what I was trying to say. ITA with your post.

  38. nkd says:

Thanks Oksana for posting that again. I posted that link several days ago and donated a few myself. At that time they were in their first 100 requested and had about 43 donated. I haven’t looked back at the page since then. It’s good to know that donations are going well!

  39. nkd says:

On another note to luval and Kradamour’s posts, most of those kids listening to that “music” aren’t paying for it anyway!

I think the college age boys tend to listen to more of that type of music than the girls do. The girls are more into pop.
These, of course are all generalizations.

  40. Kradamour says:

On another note to luval and Kradamour’s posts, most of those kids listening to that “music” aren’t paying for it anyway!

But they do spend a lot of money on concerts, nekkid, and tours are where the money is made.

I do agree that boys and girls listen to somewhat different music. But today’s pop is the other half of riskylady’s “rap and crap”.

  41. nkd says:

    That’s true Kradamour.

  42. Oksana2000 says:

nekkid, I didn’t see you post, had couple of rough days and didn’t look much at the comp… Frown
Are you saying that they increased number of requests from 100 to 500? That’s great!! Every album counts.I personally like this album much more than FYE, and I hope that after more people will listen to it , the more will by it.
Re college kids, Adam is pure pop, and I don’t think that this is the kind of music they will ever listen to.My bro listens to classical music only and we drove each other crazy when giving each other the lift. I have a friend that is stuck into rockabilly era and another that listen exclusively to jazz.Being understanding person I do not force anyone to listen to Adam music, cause I still remember 24 hours of country music on a road trip to Florida.
    To each its own..

  43. nkd says:

    Full page in EW.

  44. nkd says:

I’m glad you posted it Oksana.
Yes they had originally requested 100. Once word was out, that amount was met pretty quickly.

  45. ultimathule says:

Yeah – there are college kids in the family – one niece listens basically to rap. Sometimes I think they do it because someone they think is cool does it. Just as they would shy away from something an older person likes.

Fortunately, most people in immediate family are pretty diverse – opera, classical, jazz, country, blues, alt, pop – if it’s good, they’ll give it a try. Nice.

  46. luval says:

That full page in EW…damn..now I’ll have to buy the magazine.

  47. dcglam says:

MLB…Major League Baseball?? what the hell is that all about?

If you remember, this isn’t the first time that Adam has performed for a baseball audience. In 2010 he performed at the Tampa Bay Rays concert series for approximately 30,000 peeps. Personally, I am very happy to see him get out there and perform for a sports group. He certainly won’t lose any fans, so all that could happen would be for him to win some.
We keep talking about that Super Bowl National Anthem. IMO, this is a start. Wink

  48. luval says:

I don’t know that the MLB thing is really for sports fans. Yup, Tampa was on the baseball field, this one is downtown New York City. Of course it’s operated by a sports conglomerate but I don’t think it will be any different of a venue as far as fans, than he’s been doing these radio things with.

eta: Left the computer for a bit….I should edit to say I originally thought the MLB was a baseball thing but after researching a little It does seem to be just a venue run by a baseball business corporation.

  49. ultimathule says:

Think EW is getting the message that we may have a winner here.

  50. glambotgram says:

Re the vest. Only Adam would wear a $600 vest in a “post apocalyptic” world scene, when every one else is in tatters. Smile

MLB Fan Cave I would go if it was close. I do love baseball. The dirt bar cracks me up!

Watched the old Chelsea Lately, I loved it, now I might have felt differently had I watched it when it aired originally, being fresh off the AMA’s but now–funny stuff.

oksana thank you for posting the gifting link, I somehow missed it when nkd posted it. I donated.
