After what has seemed like an eternally long wait since Adam’s Glam Nation/FYE era ended, we have finally arrived at May 2012 – the month that Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! The album will drop in the U.S. & Canada on May 15th. Lucky fans in New Zealand & Japan will get the album a few days earlier on May 11th, Australia & Germany a few days later on May 18th, while some other European countries (U.K., Ireland, France) will have to wait until July. In addition to the album release, we can look forward to three concerts with Adam headlining this month, the KRZ Summer Bash in Wilkes-Barre PA on May 25th, at Six Flags New England on May 26th, and the Freshtival in National Harbor MD on May 27th. We will also see Adam perform on American Idol May 17th, will have the official push of “Never Close Our Eyes” to pop radio beginning on May 29, and may see the music video for NCOE later this month as well!

AL and Ron -enjoyed your personal at home Adam stories. We all do what we have to do. The Duke is a big Adam fan -but we discovered him together on Idol. The musician in him was what “bonded” him to Adam. Of course, I can’t/don’t share everything with him because for him it’s overload. But he does sit and watch new performances, new songs, new interviews etc with me and enjoys them. He even goes on the lookout for the magazines I want. He was the one who found my 2 Rolling Stones and Details. And this past week had 2 ladies at Barnes & Noble hunting for Instinct! So I am very lucky how much I get to share. Somehow, he even found out that the teller at the bank is a pretty good Adam fan…so he talks him up!He drives for a limo/airport transportation company and has discussed our upcoming travel plans to go and see Queen and Adam with many people who get quite excited. Mostly they know Queen and love them but many know Adam too.
Ron it was nice “seeing” you again. Maybe for realz sometime soon!

I’m a singer, well, a big wannabee, and that certainly helped start all this. The fact that I could just sit back and enjoy an Adam performance, without having to be afraid of him going off pitch, and the delightful way he uses his voice…
And look at me now! How many years later? Crazy.

No backside in crotch from JLo, lol, but a lot of flying thru the air, how fake, it sure wasnt her doing back flips thru the air. Is she trying to be Angelina? Thats what I thought of. Buy the way how old is Jlo anyway? Doing high flying, building jumping stunts, kinda silly for her, no? Anyway on Adams age, funny how we focus on his age, but a lot of other singers ages never seem to matter, they all seem to move forward, but ages stand still, if that makes any sense.
Look at MJ and Elvis, they all had fans till they died, and had young fans up till then. I pray and hope Adam can keep and get more fans young and old, so we can enjoy his music forever. I see his music being played on many shows and events for years to come. Kinda like We will Rock You, We are the Champions ect. His songs have value, and people will pick up on that for their future projects.
I love all of your eye roller stories, especially Mils’ torturing her sons and Kradamour’s comments on the potential seismic eye rolls if she asked her son to translate Russian for her so she could tell how many magazines she actually bought. My 23 year old son shares my taste in music and has all of Adam’s CD’s compliments of me. He’s quite tolerant of my obsession and even spent over an hour on the phone getting me presale tickets for Wilkes Barre. My husband is amused by the whole thing, but won’t listen to Adam for more than 30 seconds. (His music taste is bizarrely eclectic.) My 26 year old daughter, on the other hand, has been the critical one, especially 2 years ago during the GNT when I bought tickets for 4 shows. She refused to listen to any of Adam’s music because she didn’t want to “validate” my obsession, at which point, I told her it was her loss. After a few more snippy comments on her part, I told her that if my obsession with Adam makes me happy and doesn’t hurt anyone, why is it a problem? She let it go after that, but still hasn’t listened to any of his music. The funny thing is that we are very close and agree on virtually everything else. A few eye rolls would have been better, although I have gotten plenty over the years for being a computer ignoramus and constantly having to ask for help.

Thought I’d share my eye-roller story. My college son thinks its a little strange that I follow Adam so closely, but he doesn’t say anything, he was the one that found me an Adam calendar last Christmas. My middle school boy is my biggest eye-roller, I get the most grief from him. My 9 yr old daughter is my big supporter,she loves all his songs, knows the words and titles to almost every one. She wanted a playlist on her i-pod for her b’day party with alot of his songs, but I told her some might not be appropriate for all her friends. She says “yeah, he does have kind of a potty mouth!” She was so cute when I went to the concert at the Hollywood Hard Rock, she put her can of glitter body spray in my overnight bag. My husband tolerates me but thinks I spend way too much time on all this. He took me to three concerts and actually had a great time and has a few songs from FYE on his i-pod. I don’t ever ask for anything so whenever I want something Adam related, he never refuses. I try not to gush too much, that’s what you all are here for!
“Fianlly” got my Paypal account opened, etc., and just got finished making a small donation to our lifeline here at ALL blog. Again, thank you, eywflyer, for all you do for us.
Comforting that no one here believes that Adam’s being thirty will hold him back in any way in POP music. Posters at MJs throw that out once in a while – maybe just to be annoying.

I am mostly in the closet with my Adam stuff. I no longer talk about anything “Adam” unless it is brought up by others. For instance, at Passover, somebody mentioned to me that they heard that Adam was performing with Queen. Or, somebody else mentions that they hear Adam has an album coming out. I mostly think it is just conversational because they know from my past ( especially my jaunt to Hawaii) that I am a fan. Otherwise, I have learned to keep my stanning to myself. And here. Thank goodness.
As far as hubby is concerned, if he is off in basketball play-offs, or any other sport, I’m here. Like Ron, in a separate room. To each their own. I could never sit and watch basketball game after basketball game. I’d rather stick needles in my eyes.
He hates Glee, Smash, musicals ( except Fiddler. He just loves Fiddler), and most things I like. What can I say? After 24 years together, we just like different things. It’s OK. He does like Adam though. And really liked him on Idol. He does like Idol. Whenever I put his CD’s, my homemade ones, etc in the car, he is OK. He really liked the acoustic EP. And, he likes the snippets, and he has heard/seen all of Kimmel’s stuff, just by walking through the room when I’m online here. He’s actually asked me to play The Prayer several times for him.
I actually “warned” him that May will be very Adam-ish.!!!
BTW, if 30 is old, I give up.

Re the age…yes, all of the people on that list are a little bit long in the tooth. But they weren’t when they began, and Adam is just beginning. (to most people)
I do think the the juicing, diet, love life have taken years off his looks. He could pass for a little bit younger than he is.
I totally agree that he could never be the person and the performer that he is, had he found fame earlier.
And it may be in his favor that he is gay and not a typical teen heart-throb, so age may well be less important.
Bottom line, it is the album that counts, and it wouldn’t hurt to have a killer video for NCOE.

Was just checking ages of performers – Minaj similar to Adam’s – born 12/82 – released first album November 2010 – (went platinum) – just released second in April.
Fergie’s big breakthrough came at age 31 (37 now). So guess it can be done with the right music.
The Bieb/Adam album covers have gotten some publicity with, as far as I know, the question being whether the Bieb copied Adam.
People might say Adam copied the fetus, but I think otherwise because Adam’s hairstyle has been unchanged for a while, but Bieber’s is new.

I have to admit that all of my family and close friends are very much aware of my “interest” in Adam Lambert. However, y’all are the only ones who know of my “secret obsession”.
I’m so happy for those of you who are acquiring tickets for the Queen/Adam shows. My all time favorite rock band (Queen) plus my all time favorite singer (Adam) equals heavenly musical bliss. I’m not gonna say bucket list (too depressing), but I will say wish list for sure!!!

My July 12th Queen + Adam tickets are on the way; in fact, they made it to Kentucky today and should be delivered tomorrow up here in Canada. Unfortunately, I’m heading south tomorrow, and will not be around to receive the delivery. UPS tells me that after the third attempt they’ll hang onto it for 10 business days, so I’ll have time to pick it up after I get back from Virginia. My scalper should be receiving his tickets right about now, too, so I’m hoping he gets those second set of tickets to me soon. Those are for the 11th.
kradamour the place I’m going to in Spotsylvania doesn’t provide wifi/internet in the cabins and I have no idea if there is any on the grounds at all, so I’ll be making (twice) daily drips to the Starbucks down the highway to get connected to my cyberlife while I’m there that week. Getting in touch with you might prove challenging. I’ll see what my week is like once I’m down there, and if I think a trip down to Richmond is looking feasible, I’ll drop you a line.
