After what has seemed like an eternally long wait since Adam’s Glam Nation/FYE era ended, we have finally arrived at May 2012 – the month that Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! The album will drop in the U.S. & Canada on May 15th. Lucky fans in New Zealand & Japan will get the album a few days earlier on May 11th, Australia & Germany a few days later on May 18th, while some other European countries (U.K., Ireland, France) will have to wait until July. In addition to the album release, we can look forward to three concerts with Adam headlining this month, the KRZ Summer Bash in Wilkes-Barre PA on May 25th, at Six Flags New England on May 26th, and the Freshtival in National Harbor MD on May 27th. We will also see Adam perform on American Idol May 17th, will have the official push of “Never Close Our Eyes” to pop radio beginning on May 29, and may see the music video for NCOE later this month as well!

Does MJ ever close other threads besides Adam’s? Probably not unless Adam gets dragged into non-Adam threads by his haters. To me, it just goes to show that Adam is YET AGAIN most probably in a class by himself. For all the reasons mentioned previously, folks are either in awe of him, jealous of him, or afraid of him I guess. I bet she does get outdone by having to monitor his threads so closely. I wonder if there are many of his threads that have remained open throughout the life of the thread.

Thanks for the PopCrush poll results, AL – that’s great news! Still so happy about the 7 adds today. Heard NCOE on my car radio again today. It sounds fantastic – may not be everyone’s favorite, especially when compared with other songs on Trespassing, but it really stands out when compared to other songs on radio right now!!
Miss Chaos, I think it’s just a very few who diss Adam on a regular basis. Most are either full-fledged fans or respectful fans of other Idols. I’m lovin’ all the Nele support these days!

I knew I recognized that expression on his face, but it took me a bit of time to figure out that this is the photo that was used for the BTIKM cover art – just flipped the other way. (Actually, this orientation reflects reality and the BTIKM cover photo is flipped – you can tell from the ring in the upper part of Adam’s ear, which is on his left ear in real life).

Awww thanks asifclueless and everyone else for your kind wishes for my MIL! She’s still a bit up and down, but is hopefully getting better. Hardest part may be figuring out how to get her to accept help once she’s out of the hospital. She’s convinced she can still go it alone despite the fact that she’ll have no use of her dominant arm/hand and is at increased risk of falling again.

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Just got kids and hubbie out the door for the day and am taking a short break with my morning coffee

) of NCOE on Kimmel. Don’t get me wrong – I have the AI WWFM under lock and key on my DVR, I love it! But after watching these two performances back to back, there’s no denying that everything Adam’s doing now is so much better (IMO)! He looks better, he sounds better (who would’ve thought that was even possible?), the band’s better, the overall sound is SOOOO much better, we now have back-up singers (LOVE those girls!), and IMO the song is much, much better. I can’t wait to see/hear this performance. I hope Ryan spends some time going over all the wonderful dates Adam has coming up this summer – all the radio concerts, Queen, and Elton John!

HKFan, I ordered the delux CD from The AO site and it was very easy. They have a long list of countries and luckily my little country was included (we don’t have i-tunes here so they won’t send me the digital music). It was very easy and the cost was in local currency. Shipping was very expensive though, almost as much as the cd itself. If you just want the album, you would be better off just buying it in a store, but do they have the “fan version” with the delux album as well as the “making of Trespassing” cd? Not to mention, if you want the special box set with the lithographs and vinyl album. It is probably worth having a look at the site and deciding if you want it. I just hope that it arrives before I leave for Europe. They wrote to expect it on June 9th, or was that the one I ordered from Amazon?

cwm, that is the tricky part…the being at home and greater risk of fall because not “whole” yet. If your MIL is like my mother, she will want to do things for herself when she really shouldn’t. I try to firmly and patiently and lovingly deal with this on a daily basis, but it is so hard to balance independence with safety. Sending more of those HT&Ps to you, cherie!
cwm, sending my thoughts and prayers for you and your MIL as well. Like kradamour said, it’s so difficult to balance the older person’s independence with the very real limits of their physical/mental abilities. We’re dealing with these issues with my stepdad right now. His spirit and attitude are so inspiring, but everytime he grabs the car keys to drive himself somewhere, we all say a little prayer. (DPS says he’s capable of driving, “we” don’t think so.) One thing I do know, it’s always a good thing to be surrounded by family and loved ones who care and want the best for the elders in the family.
Texas, what made my mother realize that she will not drive again was this: we asked her if she was willing to live with herself if she injured or killed someone. Found some news articles about older people whose poor reflexes resulted in accidents where they were fine but had killed others. That made a huge difference. Then it wasn’t about her.
But it is so hard to take a senior’s car keys from them. That really is the end of mobility and a lot of independence.

I’m in love with that first minute too, as one of you said. Seems to me he was just having a zen moment, looooving the screams, the crowd, being back in front of a large audience about to sing a beautiful song – those screams must be music to HIS ears, like his voice is to ours. It’s just a beautiful beautiful image.
Just read a Polish review of the Kimmel performance (they loved it! and they posted 4 songs, except for Naked Love) and
an Italian one of NCOE (liked it very much, called him underrated, and lamented the prejudice in the US).
cwn, sorry to hear about your MIL’s fall. Good for you being so involved in her recovery, it is very important to have understanding strong family members to help out. Hoping all goes well so we can meet up in London!

Yesterday, NCOE (#179), BTIKM and WWFM were all 3 in the top 400 Pop singles on iTunes, and Trespassing was #99 in Pop albums, and FYE!!!!! number 384. YAY!
The upcoming Idol and other performances surely will have some effect, but at least some sales are happening anyway on iTunes.
