Production gears take a hard left with “Love Don’t”, an ode to missed connections dipped in Los Angeles punk rock flare. Lambert sings of quickly moving from guy to guy, unable to make a last connection. He acknowledges his own destructive flaws, but sounds ready to just throw in the towel. It’s always the same old story. Though the track becomes slightly repetitive as it progress, it also gets strangely more infectious and alluring.

This week, it’s Adam Lambert’s turn to release his long-awaited latest album, VELVET.
Fourth album by star Adam Lambert, former winner of American Idol, it completes his previous EP entitled “Velvet Side A” which already contained the titles “Superpower”, “Strange You Are”, “Closer to you”, ” Overglow “,” Loverboy “, and” Ready to Run “.
Co-written with the help of Jeremy Dussoliet, Ryan Daly and Michael Busbee, the album also includes the score of the talented Nile Rogers, on guitar with the title “Roses”.
For the past five years without an album, how can we not talk about his participation with the group Queen (since 2012). So we were able to see Adam Lambert as lead singer of the group Queen replacing Freddie Mercury for over a hundred dates, and this around the world.
Small funny aside, the latter made an appearance in the film Bohemian Rapsody disguised as a trucker as you can see on this video:
Very typical Groovy album from the 70s and 80s, Adam Lambert does not surprise, but does not disappoint in any case. The title Velvet whose clip is just as extravagant as the music, is the perfect example and will steal the show from any album released this month, I already expect to hear it dozens and dozens of times on the radio waves.
However, the rest of the album is also very satisfying, my preferences being the very funky title “Roses” with Nile Rodgers and the title “Closer to You” very elegant piano voice piece, which affirms the all the power and the beauty of the voice of Adam Lambert.
In addition to his artistic career, Adam Lambert launched a non-profit foundation called Feel Something in favor of LGBTQ + rights. With plans for education, the arts, the homeless, suicide prevention and mental health.
Moving and dancing album, Adam frees himself finally revealing all the facets of the star. To listen to absolutely!

It’s such a pleasure to come here to escape from all the bad news in the world right now. Releasing Velvet in the midst of all this chaos is a mixed blessing. Adam didn’t get to do his promotion and his Las Vegas shows. But people all over the world are sitting at home with time to listen to and appreciate the new album. I love that this album is so uniquely Adam. The Velvet video is brilliant and a total hoot. I really love the song Velvet along with Overglow, Closer to You, and Roses. There are some songs I don’t like but that’s been true with all of his albums. I can’t wait to listen to the album with the good audio in my car. If I ever get to leave my house and go in the car again! Stay safe, sequestered and healthy, everyone!

I got my copy of Velvet today from JB HiFi and yes the vocal is missing on New Eyes. I already have part one of the album so I’m not too worried. I’ve also just ordered The DVD of Playmobil. As long as that hasn’t deleted Adam entirely , I’m good. New Zealand is in complete lock down from tomorrow night but the post will still be delivered. Everyone told to stay home, isolated. Weird times.
