Dear riskylady I hope your instincts about SS are wrong but you are almost always completely on target about things. He hit a soft spot with me when I heard him do a radio interview several months back saying he misses spending time with his Mom. I can’t resist a boy who openly confesses their love for their Mother. I also think his brain is probably being impacted by lack of food. That boy has gotten really skinny!
I think Adam is smart enough to be his friend without getting mixed into any drama. He had tweeted what a great performance Sam did at the Oscars and then removed it. Either he went back and listened and realized it wasn’t very good or he decided the fall out from Sam’s inane comments wouldn’t be worth it.

I kinda liked sam since I first saw him on SNL. I remember posting about him right away. He has always seemed like a sad kid with a big heart to me.
He has been amusing on Ellen. His Billboard big interview was revealing and endearing to me.
Risky, you are usually spot on. I guess I’m having a hard time with the negativity toward him by so many, here, and other net places. I kinda don’t get it. Maybe I’m a bit of a Pollyanna, but I see a sad puppy in his eyes.
That being said, he needs a cheeseburger with a side of cheesecake. Oh. That would be Adam. Lolol! !!
I’m just a bit over his voice and for that matter, Adele’s too. Just too much sadness and drama.

I have actually never listened top SS sing so I know nothing about his voice but from what I read he is not anywhere near Adam. So I really dislike all the positive attention he gets while our guy gets negativity still. He should be on top of the music world and SS needs to pay his dues. I know it’s not all his fault but I feel like he is just playing a game to get where he wants to be and not sincere at all.

Sam recently got a lot of flak about racism, defending a black friend. I read he was accused of only discovering racism when it affected his friend. Maybe he is very immature, and his posh upbringing made him a little spoiled, unlike the excellent values Adam’s parents instilled in A. I also read that his mom has had some public personality issues but don’t remember the details.
Only time will tell, but I was not surprised about the Oscars thing. Expected something similar sooner or later. My mom always said suffering builds character.?
But that pic and the shipping make me cringe.

Glambot, I do get sick of him getting all the media and awards, Adam is far superior, he paved the road and gets railroaded.

One scene I thought was so spot on about the biz: When that big shot radio exec told Canavale and his buddy, “WE (radio) made rockn’roll (by playing it to the world), not you (label) guys!”
Just how radio makes hits out of crappy music now, by playing it to death. Then he got murdered….
His parents both have good careers, the mom was taking in six figures. Went to private Catholic schools. She hired an R&B musician to tutor him and teach him music. These were articles in UK publications a year or so ago. The gist was she sort of paid his way into the biz over there using connections and money.
But maybe these incidents will build character. Adam can only be a good influence, but I’d hate to see him used as a stepping stone.

Not sure what to make of that pic…..SS really does look very closely snuggled in..but I agree with Mils, he does look sad in the pic. And about 10 years older than Adam, even though its the other way round.
I really liked him when he first came on the scene, but it does piss me off too all the accolades and industry peeps fawning all over him whilst Adam gets none of it….and the brief bits I’ve seen of him lately he seems to come across as rather arrogant.

I dont know what to think about these pics…Am just glad that Adam is having a fun night after an incredible concert.
I dont have anything against SS, dont know him personally lol but what I see about him…I dont know what to make of him. Sometimes he seems like the “lost, sad” guy singing his heart out. Other times (like at the Oscars) he says things that make me sitting stunned and just wanting to stuck my face into a pillow and hide out of embarrassment. Then he comes across as a somewhat selfish guy who cant say thank you or make a kind remark. I dont really know.
And the music, pls I cant hear it anymore. His voice just doesnt sit with me. It makes me cringe and his swaying seasick. Not going to say anything else about his music or I might have to be censored.
But on to the more important fact: Adam looks incredible. Just freaking amazing and gorgeous…

I have always felt he wasn’t authentic somehow. Couldn’t put my finger on it. As if he was writing/singing but not feeling.
I’m on the “don’t get him” side. I don’t enjoy his voice, and that falsetto during the Oscars was almost painful.
