February went roaring out like a lion with Queen and Adam wrapping up their sold-out 26 city tour of Europe and UK. March is all Lambert as he heads home or to a possible vacation spot for a well-deserved rest. That will be short-lived though as the promo for The Original High picks up with the single release GHOST TOWN scheduled for April 21st.

This month’s main photo is from the BRITs red carpet. Adam attended the event with the head of the Warner Brothers label and just happened to be in the neighborhood.

    luval – Thanks for Fashion Correspondent Adam Video – Don’t think I saw it before. Searched to see if any video of Al and TS’s meeting – was this before or after Idol that he introduced her? Couldn’t find anything. There are some more cute videos if you go to the next two or three!

    tlkc DirectTv couldn’t save my programs because they changed the Tivo box and put a bigger one in. All my Adam stuff since 2009 are gone gone gone! Cry The only plus is the new tivo box can record 5 shows at a time and has a very large capacity. Starting from scratch now.

    My point with this ramble is that I hope people that once were turned off by Adam can perhaps see him differently now. If the music is as good as we have been led to believe it is and he is seen on all the shows and is allowed to be his charming self, it can happen!

    nkd As my Mother used to say “from your mouth to God’s ears” I take great comfort in knowing that Adam has two world class executive producers with him on this one.

    Old news? This Sam Smith release was on March 9th so it’s been a little while …

    Lots of people in a group on Facebook are just realizing and are furious that SS has released a single (featuring John Legend) called “Lay Me Down”. Another track on SS’s new CD is titled “Nirvana” and, of course, there’s Madonna’s “Ghosttown”.

    It should have been, should be, a smooth road (for a nice change!) leading up to April 21st without any distractions, confusion, or possibly being overshadowed by anyone, along the way!

    Universe, give Adam a break this time okay? He deserves it and you’d also make a whole bunch of more than patient and dedicated people very, very happy. Pray

    That’s one of the points of contention on Facebook, that SS’s “Lay Me Down” automatically is getting and will continue to get tons of radio play while the future of Adam’s “Ghost Town” remains a big question mark.

    Interesting discussion over there. I have no opinion about Sam Smith because I’ve never had any interest to listen to him sing a single note but a couple of people believe that Sam Smith won’t be around for very long. That he’s one-dimensional, asexual, safe and therefore boring. Some are putting SS in the ranks of Macklemore and Ryan, Gotye, James Blunt, Susan Boyle and Adele. More or less, in a way, like a “Flavor of The Month”. (I don’t agree with Adele. She took time off to have a baby). I don’t know if those other comparisons are reasonable because again I’ve never heard SS.

    Who knows? Only time will tell what the future holds for Sam … and Adam.

    Hi Ron! Sounds like an interesting discussion – but I truly don’t care whether SS is around for long or not. I will say that artists often need to keep changing with the times, like Madonna and Taylor Swift, or wait until their style of music regains its popularity (Queen, Nile). So it really depends a lot on the artist and it’s too early to write anyone off, let alone a 22 year old!
    One more day until April. Yay!

    The thing that most impresses me about Adam is that he is in it for the long haul and will do what it takes to get to superstardom. We’ve all talked ad nauseum about his charm, good looks, and general niceness. But it has been his ambition that has guided him to where he is today and it’s great to know that the saying “nice guys finish last” doesn’t apply to Adam!

    I tend to agree with sparkle. The music world is heavily tending towards one hit wonders. The minute a song reaches the end of it’s run, the singer has to launch a new song with no guarantees. Everything is by algorithm now.

    If Sam slips from the spotlight it will be more because of that than anything else.

    Adam is a singer AND a personality. That is a plus for him against all the other artists releasing this spring. #fingerscrossed.

    I tend to agree with the Facebook discussions, Ron. So true about the flavors of the month. There are tons more than who you’ve listed. Btw how long has SS been 22? Seems like forever.

    They don’t have the history like Adam. And seem to come out of nowhere. James Blunt is still around and successful. I believe he sells out his shows. Not sure if Adele can have success like before. People seem to move on.

    Adam MUST have a huge hit!! A radio hit IMO.

    ITA luval. The media is so fragmented now that an entertainer has to be on 20 shows today to cover the reach of a single show prior to about 2005.

    Adam was very, very well known in 2009 because Idol reached 30 million people on TV and many more through water cooler talk. When people hear about his new single they will not be finding out about him, they will be remembering him. His history is a good one: he is hugely talented and he was robbed. It is the best possible launching pad for a new song. #fingerscrossed
