February went roaring out like a lion with Queen and Adam wrapping up their sold-out 26 city tour of Europe and UK. March is all Lambert as he heads home or to a possible vacation spot for a well-deserved rest. That will be short-lived though as the promo for The Original High picks up with the single release GHOST TOWN scheduled for April 21st.

This month’s main photo is from the BRITs red carpet. Adam attended the event with the head of the Warner Brothers label and just happened to be in the neighborhood.

    Needing distractions after that horrible fire in NY last Saturday, and the plane crash’s disturbing and horrifying news of today. I made the mistake of reading the comments from the Yahoo posts of the fire, and have never felt so sick and sad about hate in the world. I have actually felt ill from it.

    Does anybody have that link to the all put together wails and riffs from IWIA?? That might help a bit…

    Is anybody watching Dig? It’s fantastic. It is like Indiana Jones meets 24 meets the Apocalypse meets Scandal. Set and filmed in Jerusalem. So many unique and gorgeous ways of seeing that wondrous city.

    mils, yay, I’m watching “Dig” too and enjoying not just the plot but the views of those historic sites and unusual settings (for me, anyway). The lead actor is another one of those talented British actors whom I’ve discover through PBS Grin .

    You have to learn not to read the sicko comments on Yahoo – no matter what or who the subject is, the rabid, creepy commenters devoid of compassion, come out to spread their malice. Pffft, who needs to read that!

    The terrible tragedy of the house fire in NYC is shockingly sad and it’s impossible for anyone normal to not be affected by the reality of that poor father and how he’s going to cope with the loss of his precious children. Not to mention how difficult it must be for the firemen and neighbours on the scene to erase those images from their minds.

    So I never heard of “Dig” before, even though it was filmed in my city, but when mils and angelowal wrote about it I figured I had better check it out. I just watched the preview and the first episode. I know that it was shot on location in Jerusalem, but my problem is that it must have all been shot in the Old City or in Arab East Jerusalem, ignoring the fact that there is a whole big modern city here, too. I know that it makes it look more exotic and they take poetic license, but still. The American consulate is three blocks from my apartment so people working there wouldn’t be staying in hotels in Arab Jerusalem. JMO. Still, it looks good and I will now go back and continue watching the next episodes. It is nice, though, to understand what they are saying while the rest of the “viewing public” is reading the subtitles, lol.

    eta. Watched some more and while they use names of downtown streets, mixed up with other street names in totally different neighborhoods, the scenes aren’t shot on those streets at all. And the funniest thing is that what they are calling the consulate in Jerusalem is actually the US embassy in Tel Aviv! I know this is totally OT and probably doesn’t interest any of you, but since the topic of this show was brought up here, just thought I would mention it. It is trivial stuff, I know, but distracting to someone who knows the locale.

    rs – I find that stuff very interesting! Haven’t watched Dig yet – trying to get caught up with Last Man on Earth. Hubby was having some odd symptoms so we were back to the ER last night. I’m feeling tired and depressed (still haven’t found a new job) but this should be a fun weekend and then APRIL!! Lots of great things to look forward to and it’s only 4 1/2 days away!!

    Aw sparkle, I hope hubby is feeling better and they figure out what the symptoms are, and that it is nothing serious. It can take time to find the right job, but it will come. Right now you have time to enjoy all the little goodies that Adam is throwing our way.

    I’ve never heard of Dig before either rs…in fact don’t think I’ve heard of any of those shows mentioned.
    I like watching things that are filmed in HK too…..and seeing what they make up, like when we went to see Transfomers 4…..so many inaccuracies, but love it when I spot something I know.

    Busy weekend over here….The HK Rugby 7’s….the best rugby 7’s tournament in the world…HK is basically on a rugby party for a week.

    And to keep it on track I loved that cropped picture of Adam with Markus.

    and updates about this proposed initiative.
    Not hardly a referendum.

    I’m not sure what you mean.

    The proposal, if it receives 365,000 signatures, will appear on the 2016 California election ballot and the state of California would be in the position of having to dignify it by presenting it to the voters as a serious proposition.

    Obviously, the state is trying to figure out what to do but some of the political commentary is ridiculous, including an LA Times editorial that says it would demean the process if the state refuses to accept a policy initiative that advocates the “state-sanctioned execution of protected groups”. Among other things, the writer totally missed the fact that anyone, not just protected groups, can be substituted for “gay”. A similar proposal could target African Americans, Jews, Muslims, indigent people with Alzheimers, or even anti-gay people like Mr. Matthews.

    Even in 18thC England people knew not to take A Modest Proposal seriously.

    I know you care deeply about this jlurksacto and I know you live in California. Just saying that the unliklihood of this proposal’s enactment doesn’t make it any less serious a proposition.

    Love the Attitude article, btw, and am going to order the magazine right away. The heightened skinniness is a bit weird but Adam still looks great. The YouTube video of the shoot shows his warmth and I love him with that little dog.

    BTW, when I said that I loved Adam’s shoes in the first photo-shoot I wasn’t talking about the shoes he is wearing in the photo where he is sitting on the floor. I meant the ones in the photo where he is sitting on the chair. They are by the same designer but they have additional zipper-detailing and they really stand out. Image 3:
