The musical force that is Adam is marching full speed ahead. With recent appearances on Drag Race, AI and Glee, he is making his way back into the limelight (not that he ever left it for us here). With a news conference set for Thursday, March 6th at Madison Square Garden, we are sure to find out details of a Queen + AL tour. So get ready to jump on the bus! Oh, and don’t forget that Adam is still appearing on Glee and working on his own music too!

With the special announcement coming it was suggested to use a Q+AL photo for this month’s header. But what about all the other great photos from last month? Oh, the dilemma! Well, I hope this photo is a compromise. Taken at the London show by Mark Gledhill (glemazon), it shows Adam in the shadows about to emerge into the full spotlight. Cross your whatsits so that this tour results in getting this multi-talented performer the respect and recognition that he merits.

mils, madness We have a good amount of ALL-ers and former MJers that have rsvp-ed to Sunday lunch in Vegas already (madness has) . Not as much as Toronto of course but about 19 so far not including their friends/companions. Names you haven’t seen in quite a while here. e.g (goatie, libralady, rachiel, greenhippo, pppofp, cgesq, lolaglamb)
I told Debiflowers to reserve a table for about 40 people . I have a table of 12 reserved for July 4th night in a hotel lounge up high so we can watch fireworks too. Most of the others like jlurksacto and retjenny don’t get there until the Saturday.
Can’t wait for Queenbert to begin. I get to meet Mils in Toronto for the first time!! Yay!!
I invited my hubby to Toronto with me because I’ll have just gotten back from Vegas – girls’ weekend supposedly – he has no clue about LA- and need to head north a couple days later and be above suspicion. He loves to go to Toronto because he has family there too but we stay with my family though. He thinks I’m going only to see my mom and sisters, but of course, ulterior motive involved in the timing. Kill two birds with one stone right? My sisters, their hubbies and I are going to the concert but I have a co-conspirator, his cousin , (tlkc’s boss) that I already told to come take him away for the whole evening and most of the night so he will be distracted.
Now how to tell him I’m not going back home with him from Toronto? Taking a short trip to NY first. I am gonna be in deep doodoo. To a couple of you that are trying to inveigle me into attending more concerts?… Do you know how to spell DIVORCE? So much plotting and planning lately. Has been fun. Heh heh.

Had a great weekend at the rugby 7’s….which ended with a massive storm, torrential rain, thousands of hits of lightening, flooding, collapsed roof in a shopping centre…..what fun.

drainage is pretty amazing in HK, roads etc will flood, (all this rain fell in about an hour!!), but as soon as it stops it drains away really fast.

Oh HK fan, I wish you could come! I loved meeting you in London and wish that many more ALLers would get that chance. Of course, attending another round of QAL concerts is fun, too, don’t you think

I really am so lucky to be able to travel to these concerts, even though I have only seen a fraction of the number that some other peeps have.

There is a group meeting in NYC at a place called STOUT. Some dingbat Glambert posted the time and place on Queenonline right after she trashed them for their views on Adam. Why anyone would invite that bunch to a Glambert get-together is beyond me. I checked back this morning and think it’s safe to say that none of them are going to take her up on the invitation.

I don’t particularly want to go to a big group get-together of Glamberts at a bar in New York. Didn’t enjoy the one at the club in San Diego. Too loud and too many people. Can’t hear yourself think let alone anyone else talk. Would much rather have a get-together of ALLers and our friends where we can talk and get to know each other better. That is just my opinion.

I am not sold on STOUT, just mentioning it. For one thing, the group organizing it isn’t taking reservations, which is a no-no prior to an MSG-sized show. It will be hard to find a meal in that area prior to the show without a reservation.

That said, luval and I attended a dinner in NYC prior to the Cyndi Lauper concert which had nearly 100 attendees. We only knew two of them!!! We ended up having a wonderful time. I met a dozen other Glamberts at breakfast the following morning and it was great. There is something invigorating about meeting a whole new bunch of people who share your enthusiasm.

The San Diego was hyper-crazy and we left early but I have hilarious images in my head from that evening and wouldn’t trade the memories for the world.

I would stop in to Stout before the MSG show. Not for dinner but just to see what’s happening. And as TLKC said our pre Cindi Lauper show was so much fun. Ran into people I hadn’t seen since the GN tour. We almost forgot the time and had to rush over to the Beacon Theatre we were enjoying ourselves so much.

At the risk of being unconsciously ungrouped, I saw this guy sing on SNL and found his voice to be pretty damn good. His style of music is not mainstream (IMO), but I thoroughly enjoyed it because of that.
