Oh, I’m so pathetic. I renewed my ALFC membership, which runs out on February 20, 2013. Tell me they didn’t book this concert to push the membership into renewal. (A lot of us renewed at exactly this time last year to qualify for Queenbert pre-sells.) TELL me this wasn’t planned.
Now where is the pre-sell password? Anyone here know what they are doing? (RE: San Diego ticket purchase, not in general.)
ETA: guess I will have to get my boss’s permission to purchase at work. Or not. If we buy the $139 ticket it includes a dinner and that would mean not all of us eating together. What do we do? Just wait and buy a regular ticket and plan our own dinner?

I’ve just been watching the video of the Bowie covers Adam did on the Idol tour on that article aely posted…
I have never really watched any of the Idol tour videos, so it was new to me. Although I loved Adam on the show, I hadn’t really worked out that there was all these wonderful sites on the internet where I could follow him, and once I did, he was on the Glamnation tour, then there was just too many videos and interviews to watch, there was never time to go back to watch idol tour videos.
It was great to watch…I bet there hasn’t been any performance like that on the last 3 Idol tours!!!
If someone is purchasing pre-sale tickets today at 10:00am PST, could you please buy 2 for me and 1 for rs, and then let me know before 11:00am? THANK YOU!!
If I haven’t heard anything by 11:00am, I will go in and purchase 4 tickets at that point – hopefully a full table (and offer up the 4th ticket to whoever here wants it).
TLKC – I don’t know what we should all do either, but since I want to get close to the stage and at least some others sound like they do, too, I’m figuring that the pre-sale dinner tickets might be the best option to be close up and have us together. Of course, it’s not at all clear what they’re making available during the pre-sale and what will be made available on Saturday morning during the general sale, or what will eventually appear on Stubhub for that matter. It’s rather crazy making.
If some of us end up eating at the venue and some of us not, I think that’s ok – we can just get together earlier in the day, or get together after the show, or both of course.
Or since there are a number of us planning to go, should we plan on buying up 2-3 tables worth of tickets? But that assumes that everybody is willing to pay that $139 price for the dinner & tix… ??
Gah – they didn’t give us enough time to plan! The dinner/tables situation make it a little more complicated than it would be otherwise…
Everyone – Presale password “PACMAN”. Buying a M&G doesn’t
include a concert ticket. That has to be bought separately
and is a requirement of participating in a M&G.
I can try and buy tickets for someone but I would need the money before the concert. Finland isn’t cheap! If you have pay pal I would be happy to buy as many as needed. Also, I think I am going. My friend had tickets to two Saturdays and I am switching to the first(opening day). Lots of airplanes but I think I can make it work.

Then there are two places for presale tickets the fan club or SD general which you use the pacman code. Is that correct? Which one to choose? Would the safest be the fan club? Any words of wisdom on other choices will be appreciated since I can order at 10:00.
Another question. Do they bill you when you purchase or when they send the ticket?
firstimerob It has been my experience when buying any tickets that they will bill you right away.

This is just a GUESS but I think if you buy dinner package that they will seat at tables of four as you arrive (no reserved tables) So you can make up groups of four and arrive together. Then the concert seats will be near the front close to the stage – THIS IS JUST MY GUESS. I guess we will see soon.

Good Luck to everyone trying for tickets today. I am like Mils here in the midwest wishing for something a lot closer.
It looks as though the tables for dinner are on the terrace, the red section on the map. If you click, you can see what the view of the stage will be from there. The blue section closest to the stage is seated in rows.
The terrace is raised a bit, a very nice view but not right up there at the stage.
Did anybody manage to get tickets?
Was lucky and got two seats in floor section 2, row 1. M&G too!
M&G sold out right away but there are some good floor seats still available through the fanclub presale.
The Duke was very on top of things this AM while I was a work and got the following: Section 4, Row 3-seats 11 & 12!!!!!!! Don’t think I’ve ever been that close before. Those are the dinner ones. dinner is elsewhere(???) from 5-7pm, no reservation required. I didn’t try for an M&G.
Who else got tickets and is anyone near us? Who’s doing dinner? Now to find airline tickets. Can’t wait to do this and see everyone and meet up with some of you I’ve not met. Jlurksacto this means YOU among others!

Congrats to little dutchess and the duke! Those are awesome seats dead center 3rd row. My front row seats are off to the side but I’m certainly happy with them. It appears that floor sections 3 & 4 (center floor sections) are for the dinner presale tickets, while the fanclub presale tickets are in the side floor sections 2 & 5.
little dutchess – I got seats in row 4 19 & 20. We will be close. We met a few of you at Phoenix and S.F. It will be great to meet everyone in San Diego!

rs I think that’s the price for the dinner ones!!! Yay!!! The dinner ones were $139 EACH + 5.75 EACH FOR SOME TICKETMASTER FEE so that comes to $144.75 each + a 4.50 processing fee (for the order). Oh I do hope you and riskylady are having dinner with us too!
OMG!! aely you got a M&G too! Congrats!! Wish I could have been the one trying to buy the tickets but the duke just went on Ticketmaster….and did quite well (but no M&G)

there are still great seat on TICKETMASTER- I just checked for 2 (just for fun) and came up with section 2, row 7 seats 17&18. I’ve never seen it this good at presale and for so long. Come on guys, there’s room for more!!

Grabbed a dinner package ticket floor 4, row 6, seat 1 which is right on the center aisle. Couldn’t resist. The $139 tickets do include the dinner right? Ticketmaster didn’t say anything about dinner but the SD Fair site does.
Sounds like many/most peeps got the dinner package tickets? Of course we’ll have to see what time the M&G is, I see that dinner is served 5-7pm. Hopefully I can do both.
cwm, the high quality of seats available now, a few hours after the presale started, is certainly unusual. Hopefully this is just due to it being 3 1/2 months before the show, and little advance notice given of this event.
eywflyer Where on the charts does it show where seat 1 in section4 is.. .The chart I am looking at doesn’t show how many seats in a row or numbers. Curious where 17 & 18 is.
