Been away in RL for a couple of days. Finally caught up.

I don’t have words. Except to say that this should be his next single. It has a hook. It is gorgeous. It is radio friendly.
And, I just love Bruno Mars. He and Adam have a lot in common. They have both been performing since they were kids. Both are fantastic entertainers. Whenever Bruno performs he steals the show. His Valerie at the VMA’s was fantastic, I have it saved. His song at the Grammy’s was the best. Adam has complimented him many times over the last couple of years, in fact, I think Adam tweeted about this performance, I have attached.
So, am I worried about Adam’s next single being Bruno’s song? Not at all. It is a good collaboration. Good for both of them. And, didn’t Bruno write CeeLo’s Fuck You song? So what? Is it known as Bruno’s song? Nope. It’s CeeLo who gets the name recognition for it.
Oh, and by the way, I don’t care about the blue shirt and vest. It’s not my favorite look ( Grammy’s. Hello!!), but, the video is so great, the audio so great, and his face is just so earth-shatteringly beautiful ( Never looked more Elvis, IMHO) that who even notices his shirt?

Well, maybe Queen would still perform. Maybe there was so much interest in only Queen. Here’s to hoping.
This would be a good time to have a Twitter account which I recently closed for any news on Knebworth. TLKC just phoned me from work and has asked me to keep a close eye on this Sonisphere situation for her. She and Northern Spirit have tickets and made arrangements for a 10 day stay in England. Luckily, they both purchased insurance so will get refunds if this cancellation proves to be true.
I tried to reassure her that this may be much ado about nothing and totally false info. She’s not concerned about herself though but rather, if true, how this may impact Adam.

As I was watching the stream as he sang, I was blown away. I’m not sure how he still amazes and surprises me with these outstanding performances, but he constantly takes my breath away!

If this turns out to be true, I’m really bummed for those of you planning to attend.
Maybe Queen and Adam will try to put something together somewhere else. One of those Canada festivals would be great.
And of course MJ has a cancellation post up already. I don’t even want to think about the lovely comments that will be forthcoming there…

Well, caught a quick glance at what was happening from work today. Sorry for anyone who bought tickets and made plans for what sounded like a truly fun event. I’m almost not surprised. The UK economy is not even close to recovering. Can someone remind me how much a one day ticket was in US dollars? Not cheap. How dare anyone say it could be connected to Adam. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Queen setting up another gig…nothing to do with Sonisphere.
Also, how does this affect Moscow? That was going to be a warm-up show according to Adam. Maybe Queen will consider Canada or the U.S. now. This is where all the money is!

I don’t understand how “poor ticket sales” has been cited with 3 months to go! I’m sure MANY people planned to buy tickets much closer to the concert date when they knew they’d actually be able to attend.
Um, IMHO, that’s not a new hairstyle. I just think the top was getting too long, needs a trim, there might not be enough wax in the world to make that much hair stand up anymore!!! So, he just let it fall to the side. We haven’t seen his hair down in a long time.

Well crap. I’m disappointed. I was headed to Sonisphere and really really looking forward to it! I know many other peeps from here were to be going as well and are undoubtedly disappointed.
I’m disappointed for Adam too, because he was so looking forward to this, and now — after all the prior confusion about his he or isn’t he? — he’ll have to explain how the gig is not on after all.
However, even if Sonisphere does get cancelled, I sure hope Queen and Adam still follow through with the Moscow show and also take it upon themselves to get booked elsewhere. I think there are PLENTY of people who want to see them live. (No guarantees I’ll be able to go to an alternative show, though.
)
Until we get an official announcement one way or the other, though, I’m going to sit tight and keep an open mind.

I am terribly upset and disappointed that the festival was cancelled and we won’t be able to see Adam perform with Queen. I don’t know if I will be able to get to the States if they do something there. But as bad as I feel for myself, I feel soooo bad for Adam. He was so excited and his eyes lit up every time he mentioned this gig. I am sure there will be others, but this has to be such a disappointment right now, when everything was on such a high. Now in the interviews they will all ask him “So how bad do you feel that the Sonosphere festival was cancelled?”

There is still plenty of time before July. I know that Queen and Adam were totally pumped up about this gig. They also know that they have zillions of fans with plans to attend that weekend just for them. Maybe, just maybe, they will book another venue. It is a possibility! Fingers, toes, and everything else crossed for this to happen.
Don’t worry, rs – and this, too, shall pass. With the demand after the EMA’s for this collaboration, think other concerts are definitely in the future.

But yes maybe they will try to set up something else during that same time. I would think the ease of doing a festival though is that the stage and vendors are set, so fewer worries on the band’s part.

Late to hear the bad news about cancelled Sonisphere. Frankly, I have the mixed feelings. On one hand I was terribly excited about the exposure Adam would’ve gotten, on the other hand I was sort of skeered what would happen if he wasn’t MORE THAN PERFECT. The comments on certain blogs were bad enough already.
So I missed all The Fun with Nele & Co? By the time I logged on, MJs took care about the bickering. I swear, Nele takes the first prize when it comes to bitter and dellusional fan.
