Adam appears tonight at the We Are Family Foundation “Celebration Gala 2.0″ benefit, to include dinner, auction and a concert, at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. Adam will receive the “Unity Award” and perform alongside Nile Rodgers & CHIC with several special guests including Sam Sparro and Taylor Dayne. Doors open at 6 PM EST, the dinner and auction will begin around 730 PM, and the concert is slated to begin around 915 PM (see world clock below for times in your area).
Dinner tickets are sold out but some concert-only tickets remain as of 6 PM.
Some of our dear friends from this site including mmm222, adamized, nkd, and kradamour will be in attendance tonight. Hope y’all have a great time at the show!

And I was excited because I got my Il Divo tix today. Sitting in seats very close to where I saw Adam. Front of the balcony 30 feet from the stage. Grand old theater, overhanging balcony. They don’t build ’em like that anymore…..
Dinner is back for a final course – We Are Family. Apparently many peeps on stage, but at least so far Adam is not one of them.
Looks like that’s a wrap. Adam did four songs – setlist is posted above. It was a bit odd that Adam was not on stage for the We Are Family finale.
We will definitely get some good videos

HK fan, I think that Trespassing is going to be my favorite live version! The arrangement, the really strong bass line, the great backup singers, and the PERFECT sound mix and acoustics! Even though it’s a bigger band plus two more singers, they had Adam’s voice at just the right volume to stand out yet blend. Really great! And that boy can MOVE, even in a limited space like that one.
Now I REALLY cannot wait for Let’s Dance and Shady!

Gaaaaaahhhhhh! That slow seductive Let’s Dance is just beyond!!! Couldn’t really hear Sam’s singing most of the time, but just watching Adam dance and hearing him sing his part was mesmerizing. His voice tonight was in top top form, too. Shady was so fun, loved the fake ending and all 3 of them going airborne for the rest, and it sounded great too. So glad he gave NY an earfull and an eyefull of the fabulousness that is Adam!

Wow! What a great night! Everything sounded fantastic and Shady was especially epic. And yep, Adam was energized with voice in top form and might I add that he looked exquisite.

Thanks a lot for all the vids and this thread! Oh boy Adam used his voice! Trespassing was really awesome, and Shady. Also WWFM sounded great with Niles’ guitar. Let’s dance was great vocals for Adam, but it was difficult to hear Sam – music too loud or maybe it was just recording?

Concert was fabulous. In Shady Adam seemed to hand over the reins to Sam Sparro. And didn’t anyone notice Sam’s mic wasn’t working in Let’s Dance? Even in Shady it was off.
All I have to say it goes to show what a difference the backup singers and unbelievable band could do for Adam. ok so RCA has no money for Adam? Sickening.

Well, the “other” blog finally posted a thread for last night’s show, with the Shady vid, although she did rave about it and mention in passing the award that Adam got. If she wants to have any credibility at all, she can’t ignore such an epic concert.
Well, that’s the way to start MY day!!! Thanks to all on ALL who make this possible–finding and posting the most wonderful pics and vids. Adam was the epitome of fabulous and my, oh, my was he happy!!! Thanks eywflyer for making it possible for us homebodies to enjoy so much and doing such a great job always. It’s so appreciated.

In MJ’s defense, she often doesn’t mention upcoming shows in her headlines and doesn’t create threads in advance of former idol’s concerts. Her general operating procedure now is to post video after a former idol performs a new cover, a new song, or performs a special version of an old song. So her waiting until after videos of the Shady performance showed up is consistent with how she handles these types of performances in general. And her post about it is very complimentary. So I don’t think we have much to complain about there.
That said, I will say again that my wish is that we would refrain from spending time and energy here dissecting and complaining about what happens or doesn’t happen at MJs. It just seems to me that complaining about what MJ does or doesn’t post and what her commenters say or don’t say just brings negativity here. Like Adam, can’t we focus on the positive? JMHO

Agree cwm, I will be positive about anything over there until something upsets me, lol, no she really is putting things up equally, it seems after it happens, Adam is getting somewhat fair treatment, so Ill let it rest at that. I just like going there to read other news, and watching the current American idol, to see what kind of talent they get. And shut my mouth, I like Nicki, and really disliking Mariah, she is bugging me to no end, was she always like that, I dont know what word to use, prissy??? And pretty cute, funny Keith Urban, I have always liked him. Could you see Adam and Keith on the panel?
