Adam’s “We Are Glamily” tour continues at Star Hall KITEC in Hong Kong. Tonight’s venue holds approximately 3600 people and does not appear to be sold out. One of those people is our own HK fan so we expect a first-hand recap immediately after the concert! Adam has appeared at this venue before, on 10/12/2010 during the international leg of the Glam Nation Tour. The show begins at 8:00 PM Hong Kong time (7 AM EST, 4 AM PST).     Maybe the Jakarta gig will have almost the same number of crowd.     I can imagine that the number of fans is limited…it is still a homophobic climate over here… but if Scissor Sisters were able to perform in Jakarta during a music festival….

    It was really hard to take photos, one because I only had a small camera, and 2 because of the people waving their flashing sticks constantly….everytime the camera tried to focus, a stick would get in the way and the picture would end up blurry…
    But I have posted some on my FB account, if anyone wants to befriend me…not sure if its worth that just to look at a few photos..
    Maybe I will try and make an album at some point if I can remember how,

    Off to bed, have to be up at 6, work day tomorrow, luckily I only work part time, so will have plenty of time to look for videos when I come home.

    He will be singing in Singapore in church owned property where religeous services are held.. I think in the US, Adam did perform once in a former churchbuilding…

    And of course he has to censor himself in Jakarta, like he did in Malaysia…

    I’ll be happy whatever setlist I’ll get.
    But ngl … I’m disappointed. I’m looking forward to hearing Stay/Underneath. (want hubby to hear them.)

    TFM and Is This Love are great. I don’t know Shout.

    I want them all, not replacement.

    Actually I’m up north in Chiang Mai.
    It will be an hour flight to BKK.
    Some lay over hours before going to Singapore.
    It will be two hours to Singapore. I didn’t know BKK and Singapore have one hour time zone different.

    I missed the stream Frown Have to go and see if it’s recorded, but I already watched the vids above. It’s lovely to hear TFM live! But I still hope he returns to Stay/Underneath/BE before the end of the tour… They are so above everything. I would love to hear them live – and I’m really surprised if there’s no BE in Finland! I had never heard Shout. A Rocky song.

    Thanks for the great (and fast!) recap, HK Fan! Looks like the show was a blast! I’m so happy for you! New songs, new clothes (with a wardrobe fail nonetheless!), amazing vocals, playing with props, telling off security, and what appears to be a very happy Adam. Woooot!

    I understand disappointment with not hearing BE, Stay, and Underneath, but it sure was fun to hear the new songs. Our dream of course would be for him to perform ALL of them, not trade any out. I wonder what the set list will be going forward?

    And TLKC, I have to LOL that you thought that Fever was toned down because you couldn’t see the dancers in the livestream. Have you seen the video from alidol2011? LMAO! Gurl, the reason you couldn’t see the dancers is because all 3 of them were down on the floor! So funny. I thought that was a pretty sizzling take on Fever. And I liked it. Yes I did. Razz

    A little about the “bra” that Adam is wearing.

    The dudou (literally ‘belly cover’) is a type of old-fashioned Chinese bra first worn in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and then in the Qing Dynasty. Unlike bras today, the dudou was worn to flatten the breasts as flat-chested women were thought to be graceful while busty women were considered a temptation.

    Oh wow!!! That Fever is something else!! He is a master at refined naughtiness, just enough to push buttons but really doesn’t go over the line IMHO (his hand is the only one that touches him, and he never really gropes them – that would make it too porny). It’s just very sexy fun.
    Of course, the girl popstars are going way further than this on stage and in videos, but if a man does it, OMG. I just loved the HUGE knowing smile and laugh right after – seemed he saw someone in the audience that made him laugh (maybe alidol herself).
    With these set list changes, I can’t even imagine what we will get in Finland. Whatever it is, it will be fabulous! I really loved Shout – where on earth did that come from?

    IKR? Where DID that song come from? I’m thinking he wanted to do a “rocker” but something different than 20th Century Boy, Purple Haze or WLL so he had this song in the back of his mind for years…wondering when he could finally sing it on stage. It doesn’t seem difficult…repeat verses and music so this was the time to do it. I have always loved this song but it doesn’t show off his vocals all that much except for the runs. Well, we can’t have vocals every time, I guess. Smile

    It came to my mind that maybe he wants to save his voice for a while? By changing songs and not putting his highest vocals all the time? We have got so amazing Stays and Underneaths!

    It also makes press when he sings a new cover… It was already on Pressparty.

    Not crazy about Shout, I feel like its just a sleepy little tune. Strange choice for Adam, IMO. He doesn’t really bring anything great to it either. Just Ok. I think this is the first cover he has done that hasn’t blown me away. Oh well.

    ETA Ok I listened a few more times, it’s growing on me. LOL

    Trying to figure out what songs he skipped. Strut, Underneath, Stay…Will have to wait to see the real set list.

    This show so far didn’t seem quite as tight as the previous ones. Maybe he was tired Vocals were pretty good. And the question about where “Shout” came from would be interesting to ask him. If I can find it, there’s an interview coming up where they are asking for questions for Adam. Saw it on twitter a few days ago. Will see if I can find it.

    Shout is a really famous song from the UK, huge in the 80’s from Tears for Fears, maybe he thought being HK there would be a lot more expats in the audience.
    And no he didn’t sing NCOE….and I love that song.

    My friend who hasn’t really seen him since Idol, thought that his body looked great, she said she could see that he’s been working out since then….

    luval, that is from the live stream that I watched. Ihe sound was great even though you couldn’t see much . After Adam yelled at security to leave his fans alone the stream got much more stable and didn’t cut out anymore.
