We’ve heard/seen these videos so many times and will more but I always wonder about people who are not on blogs, don’t go to youtube…totally out of the tour bubble…what are they thinking and feeling about this boy? And of course Queen. I personally don’t know any hard core Queen fans. Wish I did.
Would love to get more exit interviews.
At times I feel sad that Adam won’t be recording Love Kills. This gets to me every time he announces the new re-mastered tracks with Freddie singing later this year.
I’m selfish I guess.

3. I still remember how pleasantly surprised I was when I first saw the video’s of the chicago show… and when hearing the first notes of Adam singing a queen song in Belfast at the EMA’s .. I never forget those feelings of surprise and awe and confusion… a pleasant confusion.. ETA the confusion is about whether it is the real thing or not…
Maybe that is what those unprepared Queen fans are experiencing…

@Luval, remember the Chinese contestant of the Voice who was such a big fan of Adam and who sang a duet of Wattaya want from me ? or those The Voice contestants in the Netherlands who covered the same song from Adam ? How did you, as a fan of Adam, feel about that ?

I had mixed feelings… on one hand I still think the original version is better but on the other hand I think it is cute to see how other singers are such fans of my idol and really trying the very best to cover his songs…
This is fantastic, but the guitar is over-amped and Adam is competing with it at the end. That’s a voice killer.
Whoever is working the sound panel, needs to watch for when Adam is doing a killer run like that and adjust the sound quickly. IMHO. That’s his JOB.

re Love kills…I keep wondering whether Adam is actually going to be on the new Queen remastered album, on that song, maybe a couple of others. Just the way he’s worded what he says about the song at a couple of the concerts…..or maybe I’m reading too much into it.

Good morning Axxxel! Don’t mind others singing Adam’s songs at all. I loved the Chinese Voice contestant. I think it honors a singer when people do this. Just like Adam is honoring Freddie. And that’s an interesting thought on a fan’s first hearing Adam sing a Queen song. Surprise, awe & a pleasant confusion….perfect choice of words!

Gah. I finally “came out” to my family that I’m going to Toronto. They took the “news” rather well. They must be getting used to this by now or something!!
It’s nice outside for once. Gotta do something else…hard to rip myself away from Adam and that voice.
There’s a couple of festivals here that require my attendance. I’m going to the tamer one. Summerfest can actually be a Bummerfest of too many people and too many beer drunks. Unless you can find a good stage with good music. I missed Bruno and GaGa’s shows, which were fantastic, according to people I know who saw them. Summerfest has become so huge, so many stages, so much music, it’s almost overwhelming.
We saw billboards in Chicago for Summerfest all over. Interesting. Well, at least to this Milwaukee gal.
Smaller festival, then , it is for me. They have a lot of juried artists, wine and live music. Not to mention, Kettle Corn. YUMM-O.

A few more things: the sound guys did seem to be doing a better job last night. Very little chipmunk. mils you are right. Sound must be really challenging as there are times when the vocals are almost drowned out.
There was a glory note in WWTLF in Calgary. I havent listened to the clips, but luval in Calgary WWTLF was incredible.
Met a guy last night who came mainly for Adam – but didn’t own Trespassing! So I told him and his gf they better bloody well get it!
Brian and Roger look so crazy happy all the time it’s as though Adam has brought them back to life.

RE: the same review in two papers. Perhaps both of them syndicate the same writer, in which case they need to give him a talking to. Did you notice the comments? He really liked “Don’t Stop Me Now”
He obviously left before the end of the set, which critics often do so that they can prepare their reviews in time for press, and assumed that they performed it.
Music criticism in local papers is a weird thing anyway – it’s not as if people can catch the concert after its left town. IMHO, critics often kick start their own reviews by checking out prior reviews. Certainly, during GN, the same comments (bad and good) kept showing up over and over again.
The guy did what he like what he saw, though, which is the main thing.

I am dealing with a similar thing re: Cher. My boss is trying to figure out how best to distract Cher’s husband while she is attending the July 13th Toronto concert and having the dinner with us the night before.
IMHO, she should send her husband home the day after the concert and pretend she is in Toronto for the next 10 days while she rounds out NYC region shows.
Hubby actually asked me yesterday if I was only going to one show!! He saw me checking out thingses online, watching vids, etc, and I broke it to him gently.
Hubby: Are you really only going to one show?
Me: Why? Would you mind it?
Hubby: It would be OK , I guess.
Me: Oh. All right then. What do you think of me traveling a bit?
20 minutes later:
Me: I got tickets to go to Toronto.
Hubby: Well, that was quick.
Me: It was sure was.

FYI, Vancouver is a very multicultural city now but it’s roots are very, very British. there are probably more original Queen fans in that audience than we will see anywhere else (even in Toronto).

HKFan……..I love the white pants outfit, but perhaps it takes to long to get changed into it and then the high zippered boots(YUM). Also, he may be more comfy in his red tee and he does seem to love those gold shoes (also, YUM).

I’ve mentioned my drummer friend from here in town many times. Sent him Under Pressure from last night, then he continued to watch the videos. Here’s what he said
“Oh My God! After “Under Pressure”—“Tie Your Mother Down” and “Show Must Go On” came right after and then I watched “Who Wants To Live Forever”! Mark my words —you are going to see a much better show in Toronto then the Chicago’s US introduction. The sound is excellent but the band is playing–burning–like a well tuned machine now! Their Rockin! “Tie” has Roger’s son playing drums and he’s drivin’! The Guitar is screaming good and Adam’s voice is outstanding. His delivery is refined now–you can see how his pacing has improved. I was blown away earlier of course–but this takes it to another level. Very impressed. I posted “Tie” and “Show” on Facebook.”
Just love to hear this from him. He also said two of his friends are skipping a huge jazz festival here to see them in Toronto (not sure which show). I have been touting Adam to him for 5 years. Am so happy that he’s come around and in a big way!
