Queen + Adam wrap up the North American portion of their tour with a second show at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. After tonight, the band will enjoy a two week break before a series of concert dates in Asia and the South Pacific. Numerous ALLers will be in attendance tonight, enjoying the 24th and final North American date of this once in a lifetime tour. We ALL know y’all will have a great time!

As Glambotgram posted, we were having a wonderful after-concert party hosted by mils and Glambotgram when we suddenly received a complaint that we were a tad ,maybe a bit, loud. We were. You can’t have 25 people, with simultaneous and excited conversations going on, and it not being loud for people trying to sleep on the other side of the wall. Then the phone rang and it was the front desk making it an official complaint. That made me and nkd and luval uncomfortable and we decided to very reluctantly leave. A couple of other people felt the same way and left too. I guess we were there for about an hour though so it was lots of fun while it lasted! I then walked with luval and nkd to the Victoria Hotel where they were staying and we hugged and hugged and had to say our goodbyes. Till next time, you two dear lovely,lovely ladies. I miss you already.
The concert was f.a.n.t.a.s.t.i.c!! The first July 13th show was fantastic but this was fantasticer!
The couple seated next to me were Queen fans but liked Adam when he was on American Idol but didn’t know anything about him since then. I really liked them and we talked quite a bit and it made waiting for the show to start very enjoyable. I told the guy (we didn’t really introduce ourselves so I don’t know his name) that I would be curious what he thought of Adam after the show.
I didn’t have to wait until the show was over. After Adam sang “Somebody To Love”, he nudged me and said, “This guy is fucking incredible”.
I don’t think that I’ll ever forget that moment, in fact, I know I won’t forget that moment because I felt validated. This man next to me just realized what I, what we’ve all known, for years and if he felt that way how many countless other people have all come to feel the same way after hearing him during this tour?
Why do I feel proud? What am I, his father, brother, or a relative? I don’t know. It’s odd, it’s funny. During the first Toronto show too, I just kept thinking, “I’m so proud of you”.
AL, I thought it was so touching that you immediately picked up on “the other guy” instead of “the new guy”. I was struck by that new wording also when Brian said it.
My hope now is that Adam is on a private plane this moment and heading back to his brand new home, where I think he’s probably spent all of 2 nights so far, and realizing and saying to himself, “I did it. I did it! I did it!!
I will remember and relive and treasure these past 3 days for the rest of my life.
