    @Kiwi and riskylady
    Thank you for the info about “Dragon Attack”. I am going to watch it right now!

  2. magiclady says:

    OMG, this song is so sexy. I know it wasn’t intended to be, but Adam just can’t help himself.
    Love this outfit. I hope he realizes that he looks so HOT in these ripped, fringy, tight jeans and does not wear any version of baggy pants ever again!

    Nit picking again..but i hope they put radio gaga back before borap, it seemed a bit odd having Bo rap and Freddie, then another song.

  5. Axxxel says:

    HK fan Maybe they want to improve audience participation but I think that Borap is a better way to end… the song itself is already such a hightlight… the headbanging alone a la “Wayne’s world” is so much fun…

    OK, so I have been composing this recap in my head since the concert, but, as usual, have a difficult time actually sitting down to write it. I am doing it now as I listen to the on and off Singapore concert. I should begin at the beginning. I had ordered a seat on the bus that left (and brought me back) a five minute walk from my apartment. The buses were a fantastic idea because traffic was terrible. There must have been 50 buses from all over the country (five leaving from my corner alone!). The people I spoke to on the bus were Queen fans. There were those who knew Adam and loved him from American Idol, but hadn’t followed him since. I had bought a ticket for the Golden Circle, the area in front of the stage. It was fenced off from the rest of the park so I thought that there wouldn’t be the crush from behind that there was at the other venues. I thought that it would be like at Merryweather and I figured that I could stand back a bit to avoid the crush at the stage. Well, the organizers saw that tickets were selling out, so they expanded the Golden circle to hold 8,000 people! That is more than most of the venues except for the arenas. You can’t imagine how big the venue was. The photos that Brian took from the stage pretty much just covered the Golden circle and you could see the stands with seats further back. The actual park extends back for quite a distance. cgesq was at the very back of the park and said that Adam looked smaller than an ant! We got there just after 7:00 and were about halfway back. The stage wasn’t very high so I could only see people on the stage through the heads of people in front of me. But the screens were big and close and showed very clear pictures. The problem with the screens, though, was that often when I wanted to get a better look at Adam, the screens showed Brian or Roger, even when Adam was singing. And at one point they went off for a couple of minutes. I had my camera on what should have been the correct settings, but fairly early I saw that my line of sight was just too unstable for photos, so I put my camera away and just took a few shots with my phone. In general there seemed to be fewer phones sticking up in the air than at other venues. People took occasional photos, but were much more interested in looking, listening, and singing along. As much as I love photographing the concerts and having my photos as mementoes, it was sort of freeing just to watch without worrying that I wouldn’t get a great shot.
    This was the first time I ever went to an Adam or QAL concert alone and it was a different experience. Usually, I have seen vids of the show, know what he will be wearing, and am surrounded by fellow Glamberts, at least in my immediate vicinity. Here was the first night of a tour, and I didn’t know how they would have changed the structure, which songs would be added, taken out etc. I was also surrounded by people who had no idea whatsoever to expect. It was quite something! The word I heard constantly was “amazing”. Even the curtain being pulled up at the beginning elicited gasps from the audience. I read that the crowd didn’t get “into” the show until FBG. Untrue! They just didn’t sing along until the more popular songs came on. And the audience singing was beautiful and in tune, not the jarring stuff we often hear on the videos. There was a couple next to me with two children who alternatively sat on their father’s shoulders. When I looked over, a girl of about 8 was singing all the words of the songs! The guy on my other side wondered out loud if Adam has his own solo career, so of course told him that Adam has three albums of his own out, and he also acts. My neighbor asked how does he have the time. The audience lapped up everything the guys gave them. They were awed by fierce rock Adam and laughed and loved the glam. He really let himself go with the glam and at one point, when he waltzed across the stage, he could have been on RuPauls Drag Race. I think that after having to hold back a bit during the Rock Festivals this summer, he knew that he had a friendly and accepting crowd in Tel Aviv, so he didn’t hold back at all. And I loved it. They changed the arrangements on some of the songs, especially Stone Cold Crazy and Dragon Attack. They were fiercer than ever before and were fantastic. It was a nice surprise for me.
    ——————————————————————————-

    This is as far as I got. I will just add that it took an hour after the concert just to get to the busses and then another hour to get out of the parking lot!
