Thirty years ago Queen inaugurated the first Rock in Rio. It was a very special moment in their history. They’re back to celebrate their music this time with Adam. Let’s see how historic this performance will be. With over 80,000 fans expected, the “City of Rock” will definitely not be a ghost town!
QAL part of the concert starts at midnight BRT.

    Among the concert-goers was Walter Parana, who was one of the 250,000 people who saw Queen perform with all of its original members in Rio during a downpour back in 1985.

    “That was the best concert of my life,” Parana told AFP. “Everything was full of mud, but it didn’t matter. I jumped so much that my shoes came off and I went home barefoot.”

    Last night I finally figure out my problem. I had two version running: the one I had the sound on, I couldn’t find (it was hiding on my tool bar) and the one we were watching had the sound off. I finally got in synch (as opposed to being in the sink lol) Either way it was an unbelievable show. My DH stuck with it and watch the whole thing with me! Kissed

    Mine said before they even arrived in Rio that the WOULD do GT. so I had to listen to a lot of I told you so! ROTFL

    I just cropped the “flying” picture. I think it is just the angle that the shot was taken that make it look like he is so high off the stage. The GIF doesn’t look like he just very high at all.

    When I saw him jump on the livestream last I instantly thought he was gonna break his ankle! Like his big boots would get twisted or something. But I guess I have to trust that he knows his footwear and how to work it!!

    I’ve been watching the videos from San Paolo and RIR on my tablet in my hotel room in Vienna. Wow! What can I say that hasn’t already been said? I absolutely love the rock version of Ghost Town. Brian’s guitar interpretation is brilliant. It makes me so happy to see all the love QAL is getting in South America. Many thanks to Renata for the updates and recap. I’m flying to Croatia on 9/21. I hope my internet access is as good there so I can keep up with the tour. I don’t want to miss a thing.

    Had a very busy day…after I slept until nearly 10 AM!!! Hubby knew i needed my beauty sleep after being up for the epicness of last night. I could not fall asleep after the show, I don’t think I’m alone in this, after reading through the thread!

    Such a sunny warm early fall day here, got out in the garden, went shopping in a huge way, and had Ghost Town and Brian’s guitar in my head like a joyous earworm.

    I just couldn’t wait to sit here and listen a few times. Just did. I’m not done. Muwahahaha.

    Well, the tech dunce in me needs to ask if anyone is making DVD’s or CD’s of last night????

    PLEEEEEZE.

    I don’t even know how to download the show…..to what? And watch it how?
