Queen and Adam Lambert end a spectacular 2014 by performing at the Central Hall Westminster as they “Rock Big Ben Live” on the BBC One’s New Years Eve special. The show starts at 11:15 PM and features a 40-minute set before 2015 and the fireworks begin. They are back at 10 minutes after the hour for a short 20-minute set. The show will be viewed by over 14 million on BBC One and streamed live around the world.

Managed to work out how to get the BBC show on my tv yesterday…so watched the concert twice on my 48″ screen (as opposed to my 15″ laptop)……and cranked the volume up….it was so good, and there were a few little things I’d missed on first viewing, like the hand gesture, and mouthing I;m looking just before STL, and the almost falling off the stage on UP….
And poor old Brian he really was trying so hard to say something at the end….

I am confused about something
All the different vids that have been posted on the NYE show have the BBC logo on the top left corner. Doesn’t that mean that they are the same and that they come from the official feed? So what is the difference? Are some better than others? I downloaded the first ones that came out in two parts and then the vimeo one. Is there a reason to download the songs separately? I can’t imagine that vids taken from the audience would be better quality than the official BBC ones, and I haven’t seen any. Are there some great ones out there?
Also I noticed that there were fewer cell phones in the audience that in the US shows. People seemed to want to be fully immersed in the moment.
rs I heard that the venue’s people asked the audience to refrain from using their cameras as they would be filming the concert. Distraction I guess. That’s why we haven’t seen fan videos.
You’re right about that BBC logo. That’s all I’ve seen too. But kinkykiedis has her own videos from the balcony. They are shaky.

One thing about fan videos is that they usually focus on Adam.
On KK’s DSMN you can see Adam smiling in anticipation, looking out over the audience, before he starts singing. Also she caught a couple of sweet dance moves that the official video missed.
So although not of great quality, these little nuggets make them worth watching. JMO of course

Started to watch kinky’s videos. They are great! I thought Adam went off stage while Freddie is singing in BoRap 1, but he’s at the side singing and pumping his fist. And is it me but I thought Brian & Roger were totally surprised when Adam brought the glass of water back.
And I didn’t notice Adam doing a little butt bump out to the audience when Brian was doing his solo in Killer Queen.
