    …He is an incredible frontman with an amazing vocal range and the crowd, all lovers of Queen, showed their appreciation of the new band member with piercing screams and cheers. And this magnificent showman deserved everyone of them.

    What a great (and deserving) review! And to continue where AL left off, the writer never said “he’s no Freddie…” rather much more correctly:

    He never tried to be Freddie but on every occasion delivered the Queen songs with his own style and more importantly great aplomb.

    I can’t seem to get into One Vision. Not musically interesting to my ears. Maybe that will change.

    As someone who wasn’t previously familiar with any but the most popular Queen songs, I find that I don’t immediately connect with many of the songs on first listen. They are complex and not immediately ear-wormy, but after a few listens I learn to love them. I loved “Now I’m Here”, especially for the message, and I think it was an important one for Adam at the start of this huge tour with Queen. I will miss it, of course, but I think that the boys have geared this set list to the present audience. I really want to see a vid of the whole show so that I can see how it flows rather than seeing individual videos. I know that some people want to be surprised, but for me, the more familiar I am with the set list the more I enjoy the show, so I will do a lot of preparing for Prague ROTFL

    I adore the reviews and the love that Adam is getting from the UK. They just seem to get him there. Adam will always be a California boy, but I think that he will have a home in the UK, too.

    Glowing review glambotgram , but I think that the writer has missed the point of the Queen+Adam Lambert title. He seems to think that it is part of the reason for Adam not being accepted by hard-nosed Freddie-ites. I happen to think that only using Queen without the + would make them more mad. Not that that is important. It is keeping Adam as a singer in his own right with his own career and not only a member of the Band Queen. I personally think that is very important, and I imagine that Adam likes it that way. I just want the size of the letters in Adam’s name to get bigger in relation to Queen as time goes on ROTFL

    Love the reviews, but especially love the Guardian!! FINALLY a serious journalist points out that Adam wasn’t born and raised (in 5 months lol) on Idol, but paid his dues training, performing just like any other artist!!! And the whole article is solid, treating him with respect. In Love
    Now if they could just remember his Grammy nom.
    The one complaining about the Q+ thing is flattering, but I don’t think Adam wants to formally join Queen, much as he loves them. He has stressed that it’s a side-by-side thing, and he loves multi-tasking.
    I also think he over-exaggerated the die-hard backlash. It mainly exists on the Queen forum, some YouTubes, comment sections but lately is being pretty much drowned out by overwhelming approval and gushing praise. That tide has turned IMHO! And the press seems to be on Q’s side too. Hope it stays so for the rest of the tour.
