Seems like the bigger the newspaper the worse the reviews. LA Times was also very condescending. As if they were only accustomed to high art and had to show their disdain for the music of the commoners. This snob with his Mr May, Mr Lambert, Mr Mercury talk seemingly never liked Queen to begin with. I find his writing disrespectful and downright mean. Moving on.

Only have a moment now and will post more later, but just wanted to pop in and say that last night’s show was absolutely incredible start to finish. It was clear from the get go that they all came to slay us and it was truly electric in that hall. I meant what I tweeted about all of them being on fire and the crowd eating it up. Brian was visibly moved on several occasions. And Adam was obviously soooo happy and sooooo excited for the whole show. It was a joy and an inspiration and I felt very privileged to be there and share the experience with Bri, Rog, Adam, et al and 18,000 other ecstatic fans.
Just for the record, the NYT reviewer is full of shit. So there.
Right now nkd and rs and I are having a lovely lunch in the garden patio of an italian restaurant and they say hi!

Ditto to everything cwm said. I was sitting with her at the show. It was a very emotional experience for everyone. I felt so privileged to be able to witness it live. Adam just slayed his vocals. WWTLF was breathtaking. He also did some rather impressive shimmies and other classic moves. On a more shallow note, cwm and I laughed hysterically when Adam sprayed the champagne water last night and scolded the recipients for not properly thanking him. We set the bar high for gratitude after being christened by Adam!

That NYT/JP review is, for me, typical of the type of reviewer trying to be too clever by half. He may have some good points, but they’re eroded by his attempts at brittle cleverness (or, as my husband used to say, the artsy/fartsy stuff – lol).
And, yup, in the end, who give a poop – the QAL keeps rollin’ on to the next concert – having fun and raking in the dough. Excellent!
