    Thanks everyone for your good wishes and encouragement. Enjoyed spending the evening with you here despite the difficulty with the ustreams. Lots of fun and you could tell Adam was giving it everything he’s got! Amazing what he can do with that voice!They were all on fire at MSG and a great audience.

    Tegan and Sara are sisters who are young, indie, hipster, rocky, and both are lesbians, very out and proud, do some Pridefests, and tour a lot. They like my town, have been here several times, play to huge crowds. Very popular and well known to those under 25. LOL. Like me.

    Absolutely fabulous show!!!!! Loved every perfect second of it. I was sitting further back than in Toronto, so I could get a better overall feel of the show from the front with the lighting effects. Even half way up the side, much of my area was standing, and they were so into it, giving so much love to Adam and to each of the boys, it was a beautiful thing. As much as I loved being so close in Toronto, this was a better show, in my opinion. They all just brought it up a notch.

    I can’t believe you found that Jlurks! I was hoping he’d cut me out of his vid. Gaaahhhh!! Luckily he cut it short. He just appeared in the foyer of MSG when I was talking to two of my nieces, saw my Queen tshirt and said, “You must be a Queen fan. I am from the New York Daily News and I’d like to ask you a few questions”.He said to say my full name and spell it too, that I was on live camera. I was thinking to myself the whole time…where are all my glambert friends? France and libralady had just walked off 2 mins before and my nieces were laughing at me, must have seen the utter shock on my face. He asked me if I had ever seen Queen with Freddie and I said no but that I’d always been a Queen fan, had followed Adam since idol. He asked if I’d seen other shows with them and I said, ‘Yes, Hammersmith 2012, LA, Vegas and that it was a spectacular show.” He said thanks and was walking away and I said, “If you get better interviews please feel free to delete mine.” Frown Obviously not.
    That reminded me of when there was a saltwater crocodile in my neighborhood the year before and it made local news since it was in a freshwater canal across from my house and one night I came home and a news anchor ( not just a reporter) appeared in front of me and asked me a bunch of questions about the crocodile with a big light shining in my face. My first reply was “Please don’t put me on tv!” Well, he shot the interview from the side and so you could just mainly hear my voice and quite a few people recognized me from my voice and side features only. Why me again? Cool

    FYI from France:

    They asked the guy who gave them the backstage tour in Philly why there’s not always confetti at the end of every concert. he said if the venue charges for cleanup, then no. If cleanup is included, they go for it. BTW there’s usually shiny gold confetti but at MSG they had yellow crepe paper confetti.

    First of all, I’m so sorry you got sick, little duchess. I can sympathize w you, after my interlude w pneumonia in England. Luckily I got out of the hospital in time for the concerts, but being sick is no fun. Get well soon. I so enjoyed talking to you and the duke in Vegas at Mandalay.
    Adam absolutely killed it at this concert, from what I’ve seen of the vids so far, and heard from everyone who was there. So, so proud of our Fierce Alien. He is a mega superstar! LHSFMLHSM!

    Mr. Lambert — singing to replace Queen’s leader, Freddie Mercury, who died in 1991 — is a modest accessory

    His voice loses fullness as it ascends, his R&B melismas are whiny, and his patter is embarrassing. Trying to lead an audience chant of “Bite it!” during Queen’s gleefully murderous “Another One Bites the Dust,” and spitting something he drank from a champagne bottle onto nearby audience members, were the lowest points.

    Performing with Queen on this tour, Mr. Lambert sometimes has to compete with Mr. Mercury’s audio and video, which outdid him in “Love of My Life.” He did have his moments, particularly in “Killer Queen,” which he sang while lying on a purple Victorian-styled fainting couch and made into a catty, confidential portrait. Now and then, Mr. Lambert rose to meet Mr. Mercury’s example, as he did in “Bohemian Rhapsody,” following its daffy, operatic choral interlude — shown and played in its 1970’s video and audio version — with full hard-rock fury as he sang, “So you think you can love me and leave me to die?” Mr. Lambert has that rawness in his voice, when he chooses to use it.

    Last, but certainly not the least, former American Idol finalist Adam Lambert channels the spirit of Queen’s late frontman Freddie Mercury in almost every detail.

    Afterwards, Lambert took advantage of an old Freddie Mercury show staple and that was getting the crowd involved in a sing-along. He had the audience eating out of his hand, often singing good-natured gibberish that the crowd repeated. Either way, it worked.

    Strutting the curvaceous stage like a black leather-clad peacock with a slight pompadour, Lambert launched into the set opener, “Now I’m Here” with ferocity and vigor. At times, Lambert’s presence appeared to rejuvenate and energize May’s and Taylor’s performance throughout the 2 hour 15-minute, 23-song set.

    Axxxel, Hakuna Matata was at the show with us last night! She has been in the States for the last few years, studying and now working, and yesterday we finally met her for the first time!Cher, riskylady, And I have been in email contact with her for over four years so it was fantastic to finally meet in person. Did you meet her in Singapore? She has promised to try and come on the blog now.
