After an amazing performance in front of an enormous crowd in Kiev on Saturday night, Queen + Adam continue their mini-tour with a concert at Olympic Arena in Moscow. The concert is scheduled to begin at 8 PM Moscow time (5 PM London time, 12 PM Eastern time, 9 AM Pacific time).
Additional Queen + Adam Lambert concerts are scheduled for July 7 (Wroclaw, Poland), followed by a series of three dates in London on July 11, 12 and 14.

I know we are all on this thread now but they’ve taken down the videos from Kiev on the other thread (except the 2 hour one).
We may have to resort to posting some of these like we did with STMNBN. Is there a way anyone here can do something like that maybe? I didn’t get any of those downloaded because I’m having problems with RealPlayer downloads.

Watching these videos from Kiev and now Moscow I am sorry to say I don’t even think of Freddie. It’s the powerhouse rock god Adam and his amazing band. Brian May is spectacular on guitar…I mean the whole band is just fantastic. Ok, the Trespassing guys are good but there is absolutely no comparison. These guys are rocks genius. And that includes the bass guitarist & piano man. Shows ya what 30-ish years of experience can produce.

I was wondering about that too. I’m thinking he may be Adamizing it too much seeing that it’s a Queen thing. Lots of room for Queen purists to really kick up about.

renataademelo…I re-watched The Show Must Go On again and IMO, nothing can match the one he did at the EMA’s. That one was truly an epic performance. Since I’ve only seen Adam on stage singing in The Ten Commandments I see what you’re talking about. He was performing every word. I’ll bet he didn’t even realize it! Like an opera. But I kinda enjoyed it. Simon would have hated it!! Can you imagine him doing that at the Idol auditions??

Renata and Luval: Funny you both brought up his stage presentation on TSMGO because I was just watching it and kind of cringing thinking about what the Queen purists are going to say. The thing is, though, the audience wasn’t looking at his facial expressions from 1 foot away like that camera angle showed. Since it was a stage performance that wasn’t being filmed, I think he acted for the audience a distance away; in Kiev, he was more subdued, but he knew there were lots of TV cameras on him there.
ETA: Also, he really used to get into acting out the lyrics to “Soaked.” In some interview, Brian or Roger commented that they’d watched many of Adam’s performances and they thought his theatricality was a good match for Queen. They may have told him to do his thing. The audience sure seemed to love everything they were doing!

I still love it! His theatricality for ex in Somebody to Love is just perfect. The thing with TSMGO is that I just don´t think it fits the song. It takes away that real emotion that we saw in the EMAs. Gee I´m sounding like Kara hahaha. Shame on me! Anyway… no better vids for Another one bites the dust? I´m dying for this one…

While watching every video from Kiev & Moscow I can’t help but watch Brian looking at Adam over and over and over. They just fed off of each other. And when Adam sang Who Wants To Live Forever I was watching the bass player staring & smiling at Adam too. Was that a stand up bass? Looked really different.

He looks like he’s having so damn much fun – joy to behold.
FWIW, I am enjoying the theatricality of Show Must Go On. He is playing to a ginormous crowd and projecting the emotion so well. One thing that stands out to me as the difference between these SMGO’s from the EMA’s is that he was pushing his voice so hard then. It was all voice and big dramatic walking. In these performances, he’s letting the mic work for him in terms of loudness, so he’s not pushing as hard. You can tell by how little vibrato is going on this time.
So, by not pushing as hard, he has more room to act and emote, and get playful on other songs.
It’s fun watching Adam having fun. Love the twirl in whatever song that was.
