The last day of August and Queen and Adam are still in Melbourne for the second of 2 concerts at the Rod Laver Arena. The tour is slowly winding down with just one more stop in Brisbane and then over to New Zealand for the 2 final shows at the Vector Arena.

    I knew that by the end of the tour Adam’s voice would sound even better and more powerful. I never doubted because it is Adam.

    These videos are amazing! Adam’s vocals are just gorgeous. He didn’t hold anything back. I was so happy to see the return of TSMGO. That’s one of my (many) favorites. WWTLF and STL were beautiful too. I also loved seeing the little proud papa smile on Brian’s face during the Glam rock preacher segment of STL. How will Brian manage without his Adam fix? How will we manage? The only solution, of course, is more QAL shows in 2015!

    Very very lucky, for the pleasure to watch these guys on Friday and Saturday – amazing! #adamlambert #freddiemercury would be pleased you are the new man! Was amazing to go back stage and meet #Brianmay Adam and some of the other band members! Now that’s a once in a lifetime experience!

    So perfectly stated.

    The encore followed tradition, consisting of roof raising renditions of We Will Rock You and We are the Champions. Glittering gold confetti filled the auditorium, as did a thundering ovation. God Save the Queen played and Lambert audaciously pranced about sporting a crown, Freddie style. Mercury would have approved though – to all intents, Adam saved the Queen, breathing new life into a supergroup whose music continues to win new fans, my two youngsters included.

    And as Freddie wished in his immensely painful dying days, all he wanted was to live on through his music.
