The Queen+Adam Lambert mini-tour wraps up tonight at the 3rd and final HMV Hammersmith Apollo show. After a fierce first night and a sensationally sexy second night where Adam was finally able to “break free”, we wonder what is in store for the lucky Queen and Adam fans in attendance. The concert is scheduled to begin at 8 PM London time (3 PM Eastern time, 12 PM Pacific time) but may go on for hours in celebration of the last show. Cross your fingers that we may see some special guests!
To all of the wonderful folks from this site attending this last London Queen + Adam show – remember these very special events and have a blast!

Thanks, asif! Read the review/recap and all the comments. Had to laugh when he made the comment about wanting Adam to be more dynamic – he should have gone to the 3rd concert! Most of the commenters took him to task on that and responded quite well in Adam’s defense.
I read that one yesterday and at first I was like WUT?
But I kinda see where he is coming from. Adam was awesome but was deferring to Roger and Brian in all shows, as he should have been. We know that, and know he can command a stage. To a newcomer he was probably looking for more of an outrageous and take control frontman. I think Adam was walking a fine line and did it beautifully.
Anyone got particularly favorite performances? Would love to know (and why).

ultimat: I have been Queenberting and flailing and obsessing for two whole weeks. I literally have Queenbert on the brain. It’s a new medical condition. Needs it’s own diagnostic code for medical classification . LOL
But, that notwithstanding, what I find myself drawn to over and over is WWTLF and AOBTD and STL. I just love the soaring nearly operatic quality of WWTLF and the fierce emotionality of it. It is my new Soaked and Sleepwalker.
The fierceness and outrageous vocals and dancing and strutting of AOBTD and STL just slay me. I cannot get enough.
And then there’s Radio Gaga and Dragon Attack. I am so very nostalgic about Radio Gaga. I have written before about how the Live Aid performance shaped my love of rock and roll. And about how Radio Gaga is a “go to” video for me. Adam’s version is different, but just wonderful. The hand clapping in Kiev was an iconic moment for me in Adam’s career.
Dragon Attack is so freaking incredible. I could sense how Adam was grooving on it in Kiev and Moscow. It has a funky bluesy rhythm that he just jammed to. I’m a big Prince and blues fan, and can relate to his digging it. Then came the red jacket. Wowza. Glam Adam was back in a flash. And relishing it. It also, to me, added a flash of Freddie’s flamboyance to the show.

nkd it’s a launch! Your DVD didn’t work. Dammit. But, my soon to be 18 year old saved my day. He loaded your DVD and burned a DVD using some simple step. It was an mp4, and he re-did it to be able to be used on our DVR.
It took an hour to load to our computer and then another hour to burn. But, it works. And bottom line, I wouldn’t have a DVD if you didn’t get me the disc, because I couldn’t get it to download in the first place.
So, nkd, I am bowing and clapping in your general direction.

Mils I had the same problem, i did manage to make the DVD but it won’t play on my ancient( it is a DVD/VCR combo) player. I will have to find some way to convert it.

Yay mils! I’m glad you have a dvd that works for you. I did manage to get one that played on my daughter’s dvd player but it lost a lot of quality and the chapters at each song. It took almost 3 hours to do it too!

Which videos would you say have the best quality audio of the best performances? I want to make mp3’s of the show and am not sure whose videos to use or which night’s performances of each song to grab.

Filtering out the best videos seems to be a serious dilemma. There are so many that I’m losing track. Also best video and best sound don’t always go together, so we might need two lists. (Really we need someone like lambosessed to merge it all together into a perfect video.)
eywflyer: Would it be possible to have a temporary tab on top “Best of Queenbert”, with subtabs for each song, so that we could all nominate our favorite video links, and it would already be categorized by song? Everybody would just leave the link and a description of its strengths (audio/video). Please say no if this sounds like a lot of work, I don’t have a good idea how much of a hassle this would be to set up. I am just really interested in finding the best videos.
OR: We assign each song to a team of two or three of us who do some basic research. We all come back with our findings. Others then can add in case any gems got overlooked.
OR: we just say go! and everyone posts the links they love (this seems a bit chaotic to me, but might be just fine)
OR: any other ideas from my high-functioning co-addicts???
Hi turquoise! Doesn’t it seem like ages ago that we were in a hotel room in WB making Trespassing glow bracelets!
I like the team approach – pick the top 7-8 songs and have 2 peeps volunteer to find the best audio and video of each. Some folks seem to have already picked – Ron’s already done extensive research of AOBTD and mils of IWTBF (because of the laces and wardrobe malfunction)!!
ETA: Probably more like top 12-14 songs!

My favorite is “The show must go on” on 12 and 14 July 2012…the voice, the guitar, the drama !
Then again, I was pleasantly surprised by “Dragon attack” and “Who wants to live forever”… The first song was unknown to me and the 2nd song was not my favorite Queen song… but both songs do demonstrate well the fierceness of Adam’s voice…well at least according to me.
