Adam and Queen continue their mini-tour with the first of three shows at HMV Hammersmith Apollo in London. Additional concerts will follow at this venue on Thursday and Saturday. The concert is scheduled to begin at 8 PM London time (3 PM Eastern time, 12 PM Pacific time). Word from venue security (via the twitter list) is that “they are set to film for a DVD. Major recording Saturday, but they are set to film all the shows.” So it appears that we can look forward to an eventual DVD of this – very exciting!

eywflyer, I am going to suggest that you keep just one thread for all the London concerts; I suspect that there will be comments that apply to all of them, and they are so close and on top of each other that three threads for the three concerts could be more confusing than helpful. Just a thought.

Kradamour, I understand your point about the confusion of multiple London Queen threads, but I am reluctant to stray from the “one concert per thread” rule that has always been the case here, all the way back to the GNT recaps. All three concerts in one thread would make the comments easier to keep up with, but would make everything at the top of the post (twitter list, setlist, photos, videos) much more confusing. We would also end up with a very long list of videos with all three shows merged together. Another factor is that mlg will very likely have two more beautiful posters for the remaining Queen shows, and I’d like to feature each one in its own thread.
I’m heading to bed now (still on night shifts), what do you guys think about this question?

Hello! Sitting in my hotel room with Marg – getting ready for the show.
Guess what happened this morning? We went to tea at the Ritz this morning and they told us that a former US president was about to come through the lobby.
I am a political junkie so I was really on pins-and-needles because it would make a big difference to me whether it was a Bush or a Clinton.
It was Clinton. I walked up to him and asked him for a hug and he gave me one!!!!! LOL! Watching Adam get asked for and giving hugs has made me bold. Avtrav and libradoodle are my witnesses.
P.S. I heard on twitter that Adam and “Spike arrived at the Hammersmith Apollo about 30 mintues ago. Spike must be the bodyguard?

So I ended up paying $52.00 but I’ve never worn it and it’s been hanging in my closet since 2006!

“Break a leg” is a very old theatrical expression that actually means you sincerely wish someone “Good luck”. But coupled with “cry off with laryngitis”, which is not a traditional theatrical saying, I’m not sure what the meaning is behind this person’s post.

Okay, so I ran that cryptic post by my English friend. Her take on it is that he means break a leg not in the traditional way, but meaning really to break a leg, and then added the other part as a sort of joke, because “cry off” does mean to break a promise or a contract. Her take on it is that it is a hater who would just as soon see Adam not perform.
A DVD with great sound would be so wonderful! I still feel there is still much room for improvement in this regard when I think about the previous concerts. Hope all of our London concert goers have the time of their lives.
