Adam and Queen continue their mini-tour with the first of three shows at HMV Hammersmith Apollo in London. Additional concerts will follow at this venue on Thursday and Saturday. The concert is scheduled to begin at 8 PM London time (3 PM Eastern time, 12 PM Pacific time). Word from venue security (via the twitter list) is that “they are set to film for a DVD. Major recording Saturday, but they are set to film all the shows.” So it appears that we can look forward to an eventual DVD of this – very exciting!

To all of the wonderful folks from this site attending one or more of the London Queen + Adam shows – remember these very special events and have a blast!

Ron, these pathetic, butthurt fans of kris,David,Clay,Taylor (take a pick) get on my nerves on MJ’s but I can’t say anything for the obvious reason. So I decided to vent out where I could. (I know, I’m a byotch).
In their pursuit of BSC Glamberts all over Internet they became equally BSC, pity that they don’t see it that way.
BTW, I’m totally OK with Telegraph review, I believe that everyone is entitled to their opinion, and review is always subjective

No, you’re not a byotch. I know exactly where you’re coming from and I say good for you!!

Ron I didn’t quite think of that but I came close.

So, still thinking on the McCormick review, does anyone remember what the comments were like back in the early days of Queen? I suspect Freddie would have been called all manner of not-so-positive things, ‘campy’ for sure.

I guess his more rock-y voice offset his melodramatic style.
I must confess I like Adam’s voice in its lower registers, and when he throws in a bit of gravel.

  4. turquoisewaters says:

Ron: you took the words right out of my mouth about “the gay American singer”. At least he could admit that Adam is a great singer and performer, whereas the EW reviewer got stuck at gay and ended up with a series of lame gay remarks and little substance.

  5. luval says:

Adam’s hair is growing (yay). In the close-up of BoRap you can see the sides glistening from gel. And one time…I forget which song…he brushed his hand through the top of his head because the hair started flopping just a bit as he did a mini head bang. I’m all about the hair you know.

  6. luval says:

I don’t think Adam swore once last night, did he?

The Brits love their Elvis. Wonder if anyone will mention the resemblance? Maybe not in reviews but I’ll bet to each other. LOL. Oh, the head bang, hair flopping incident was in Somebody to Love”. Right now that’s my favorite song. (at least this minute).

AL should be putting up the new thread soon, right?

Not sure what Perez tweeted (didn’t see it) but I would have to say this is a great response to whatever he said (saw this on another site)….

EtrnlGlamNation @PerezHilton You know all those years u got bullied b/c u were gay? Yeah, that WASN’T the reason. #onceadouche…

  12. turquoisewaters says:

I am sure many of these reviewers were ready to rip Adam to shreds if he had given them half a chance. This is going incredibly well. I dare anyone else to try and fill in for Freddie Mercury. Balls of steel.

Another post from Atop about a possible Queenbert DVD:

Just a further the admin from QOL posted today that they film EVERYTHING they do nowadays. Every gig, etc. is filmed. As of this time there are NO plans to release any Q+AL gigs. They do it in a better to have it and not use it than want to release something and not have it.
    Sorry guys.

  26. It was so great to meet so many of you at the dinner the night before the concert! It was so great to actually have faces to go with the names on here! Adam was so great!!! Got to meet him at CapitalFM the Monday before the concert and he remembered me. Then during the concert, while singing “Radio Ga Ga” when he sang the line “You made them laugh, you made them cry” He turned towards me, pointed and waved at me! Made my whole night. It was so great!!! I was literally standing there during the whole concert thinking, “Am I really witnessing this live.” It was very surreal. My friend and I camped out all night, and we were number 10 in line. We got 2nd row at the concert! It was awesome!!! *flailing still* lol just thought I’d share my experience Smile
