    Wore my QAL tshirt today. Listened to the second half of the concert tonight and tried to pretend that I was there with my fellow ALL’ers, the glamily. Hope everyone had a fantastic, fabulous, fun-filled trip and concert!! Miss you ALL!!!

    A little recap of this show.

    I arrived on Wednesday evening ahead of everyone else. On the plane by chance there was a Glambert sitting one seat away from me. The row was empty but a woman left her assigned seat & plopped herself down in my row. As it happens you start talking. I asked her why she was going to Vegas. “To see Queen & Adam Lambert”. It was funny how she said it thinking I never heard of them. But that started everything. We are all alike. Everything about QAL to his own music…the grumps that hate QAL but then complain about his own music..what are we going to do with all the magazines we collected over the years, etc. etc. She had seen them many times but never outside of the country. Really made the flight go by quick. I gave her the site address if she wanted to lurk.

    About Thursday midday I met nkd at the airport & we headed on down to the Park MGM. It’s a lovely hotel but freezing hallways. Check-in was annoying as all the major hotels now have the kiosks to check-in yourself. Of course I had a problem as it seemed most everyone else did too. There were several “helpers” but it still seemed nuts to me that it wasn’t as smooth as it should be.

    I know this is a gambling town but come on….in the rooms there were no clocks, no coffee maker, a measly 2 glasses. Better to stay at a cheaper place where you get your microwave & coffee maker!

    We went to our individual rooms & then met in nkd’s room to wait for a call from mmm222. We also had a nice brunch at Primrose restaurant.

    Eventually she and then cwm arrived. rs joined us too. We all chatted for a while and decided to meet in the morning for breakfast.

    Breakfast at America, a huge diner-ish place with an equally large menu. cwm’s lovely daughter & her boyfriend met us there. Afterwards we walked quite a ways down Las Vegas Blvd…the strip..The weather was hot but breezy. So much better than heat & humidity. mmm222 pointed out the QAL merchandise store outside of the venue entrance. This was nice vs waiting until the show. I splurged on a nice zippered hoodie with the beautiful logo. But the stitching does not include dates or “Queen & Adam Lambert” on the back so I’m going to take it to a tee graphic designer place this week & tell them what I want.

    That evening before the show we met at an Italian restaurant in New York New York hotel (this place had dozens & dozens of restaurants to eat at where the MGM Park had just a couple. Thanks to mmm222 for setting up the dinners). There we met ladybug, Reese, retjenny with Mr retjenny, Little Dutchess and the Duke, asifclueless & Mr. asifclueless. Pretty sure there were others but I cant remember. Jet lag.

    Then the show. Everyone had great seats. The theater is small but as they say every seat is great & I believe it. For me one of the best parts was Adam 6 feet in front of us at the beginning of WWRY when he comes out with that stunning sparkly crown. He is jaw-droppingly beautiful. Close up is almost indescribable.

    Anyway, the night was over…for me anyway. All in all it was a great event and still can’t believe there aren’t more shows. 10 was just too few. A limited residency in MSG would be my dream. Has to be now rather than later. I worry about Roger’s out of breath-ness (cigarettes). I heard it when he started introducing the band after the solo. And of course Brian and his demons.

    eta: Want to add that the cigarette smoke in the casinos was disgusting and horrible. We were seated at a patio setting outside of the Italian restaurant … right next to the casino. It was awful.

    Every casino makes you walk through it to get to wherever you’re going. I live in Central New York where there are many Native American casinos and they all have designated areas for smoking while you’re playing the “games”. And they are locked tight so smoke doesn’t waft out!

    @adamlambert saw your Amazing show in Vegas last night ! While I had seen Queen probably 15 times when Freddie was leading the way…YOU were everything I could have hoped for . You are magnificent…and you are a ROCKSTAR ! Freddie would must be so pleased ?
