    I was thinking something similar but more along the lines of Adam wanting to show Roger and Brian how much his fans are doing to celebrate the tour and thinking that he can’t make a big deal about the nightly posters if Rogers not in there, too.

    mlg does such an amazing job and I think it would be great if Brian and Roger both came to know about it.

    Seeing that picture of the family with the two children reminded me of my one and only Adam concert. There were two kids about that size standing in front of me during the whole concert. Standing on their chairs. There was no way to see around them so I didn’t get to see much of the concert. I’m not fond of people taking children to a concert where everyone wants to stand up. Those kids couldn’t see the stage from where they stood on the floor, so they stood up in their chairs to watch. But I paid my money too, and would have liked to have seen a little bit.

    I get you point ellessay…..when my friends and I took our then 9 yo daughters to see Justin Beiber, we booked the last row at the top, so that they could stand on their chairs all night without causing a problem…..

    I get the points about Roger too…it would be nice to see him on the posters…but thinking about it, apart from the group bowing shots, I don’t think I’ve seen 1 really good shot of Roger since the tour began. So mlg probably hasn’t had much to choose from.

    I don’t think I’ve seen 1 really good shot of Roger since the tour began.

    I just did a quick search through the previous threads and found quite a few. Most were of Roger during “Days of Our Lives” but some were from “Under Attack”. I sent mlg the links…

    ETA – mlg emailed me and she will do her best to feature Roger in an upcoming poster. But not for tomorrow night’s concert since that one is already done. Wink She also said that she has so many fabulous Adam photos, she just wants to share them with everyone!

    He’s not completely clean shaven. There is a very close stubble.

    I really like how he has gone more natural, gingery brown. it complements the gold so well. And as it grows in it still matches.

    Gah. He’s so fricking gorgeous. Unreal.

    One of my work-berts, absolutely loves everything I send him. That STL, where he went to the church of glam rock had him laughing out loud today with me!! He is such fun!! We have to be careful not to get in trouble, we fangirl about True Blood, Adam, RuPaul, and more, I even mentioned today how Adam is old friends with Jai from Queer Eye, and he knew exactly who I was talking about. Love that.

    I am so tired of the “Adam will never be as good as Freddie” that seems to be the basis of most of the articles I’m reading, even when they are talking about how great Adam’s performances are.

    I’ve never been a Freddie fan. I barely heard of Queen, probably because I was busy raising four kids during their most popular time. The first time I took notice was when “We Are the Champions” was used in the movie, Revenge of the Nerds. Then “Who Wants to Live Forever” in the Highlander movie moved me to tears. There was “Somebody to Love” in Happy Feet. I’m sure I heard some of their other stuff on MTV back when they played videos, but I have no specific memory,was not a particular fan and never bought a record. Until Adam sang with them on AI, I would not have known the names Brian May or Roger Taylor. I’d heard of Freddie and saw clips, but I just never warmed up to him.

    Freddie was a pioneer in a way, influencing other performers, and writing some wonderful music. In the studio, his voice was perfect. But his was an untrained voice, and he didn’t know how to take care of it so there were times he was not at his best particularly when touring. Any vocal imperfections were made up by his flamboyant performances. People remember being entertained,not whether his voice was perfect when they heard him sing. I think many have romanticized his legend because of his untimely death. And he was a legendary entertainer.

    Adam is a whole different type of performer. He has a trained voice and he knows how to take care of it to maximize his performances. He is a trained stage actor, so his natural ability has been enhanced by years of experience. He was influenced by Freddie to take his own performances to that other level, to let loose, camp it up and be fearless on stage.

    The Queen music can be very challenging and Adam meets that challenge in his own way. Was Freddie better? Not in my eyes. He was different. You just can’t compare them. Different time, different place, different styles. Both dynamic performers.
