I remember that interview from American Idol where he talks about himself as a child and that he loves capes & hats. Things never change. (tried to find that interview but gave up)

Sorry I am still talking about the concert… after reading the comment about the feathered jacket… I remember indeed that Adam had problems removing the jacket. If you are indonesian, maybe you would say… “serves him right”… because he was giving some strange comments about the jacket about that he was wearing it to get a date and other comments about the jacket… I screamed ” it is your jacket”… and thought : “glamnation tour anyone” ? So not getting out of the jacket easily I considered it as a bit of karma. Haha.
Afterthought… I think the QALexperience is different for a Queen fan than for an Adam fan. I am huge into Adam, I love Queen too but more because it brings up a lot of memories. Despite watching so many youtube videos I found myself often saying to myself: “he is so beautiful”, “he is so good”, “no wonder Brian and Roger keep on touring with him”. Just after the show I was glowing like a proud mama. My Queen fan relative on the other hand was quieter, more introspective… and I am usually the quieter one of the two of us… Signing off, got to catch a plane at 1 pm..

I have a question for anyone, TSMGO is about my favorite song, why does Adam have so much trouble singing it and remember the words??
I’ll have to watch the video’s later, but have been catching up on a few of the instagram vids….I never noticed a lyric fail in TSMGO….I just sang along with Adam, didn’t notice if he missed bits…..
The wailing before IWIA was amazing..and the hall was so quiet, i think the quietest it was the whole show…and nobody really clapped, I think they were too stunned.
I saw the mike stand go down on WATC but thought he had pushed it, didn’t realise it fell down.
and I forgot to say last night, I loved being in the confetti shower, first time for that for me….I scooped up a couple of handfuls and carried them out with me to meet my daughter, and threw them over her…(she wasn’t in the confetti zone)…
The way he tossed that leather kimono over his shoulder was like a Greek god and his toga.
Those IWIA wails in that sleek fringe outfit nearly did me in .

Ms Chaos, I notice about the lyric fail because I tried to learn the song by heart. Some sentences are starting similar… e.g. ” does anybody know…”… and I also tend to directly jump to “outside the dawn is breaking because the sentence is so beautiful.

First-hand fan report
Have now seen the current Asian show twice. First in Shanghai where I felt like I was watching an Olympic event -was literally astonished at the perfection. One glory note followed by another and another non stop. And recall in the past when you always knew he was going to go for a big note because he would pause briefly to get in position so to speak and then deliver? Well now, he just dives right into it. Each note deeper and richer then the next. I could not believe it !
Then last night in Hong Kong. Exactly the same thing! Only this time, where I was situated right at the tip of the catwalk, I got to see him very close for whole portions of several songs. Could really see into his eyes, expression – sort of reading his level of concentration and composure. Not only was he completely at ease, but the almost effortlessness of his flawless vocal performance I felt is what has now allowed him to dig into the emotion and feeling of the songs with almost an air of abandonment – breaking out into improvisations, keeping the rest of the band in tune, following his lead – so the whole effect is perfectly synchronized but with a new level of spontaneity keeping it so fresh! In the past, for me, when the performance was “perfect” it sometimes had a quality of being a bit sterile or mechanical. Now, that is gone. I no longer found myself hanging on and wondering if he would deliver ” the big note”. He just does. Every time. Relax, smile, enjoy the show and be so happy and proud of him nothing else matters. He has mastered his destiny
