Adam kicks off a series of concerts as the lead vocalist for Queen (billed as Queen + Adam Lambert), with the group joining Elton John at a charity concert in Kiev, Ukraine. This concert benefits the Russian group Antiaids, and is being held in the official Euro 2012 Fan Zone at Independence Square in Kiev. The free concert is scheduled to begin at 8 PM Kiev time (6 PM London time, 1 PM Eastern time, 10 AM Pacific time).
Additional Queen + Adam Lambert concerts are scheduled for July 3 (Moscow), July 7 (Wroclaw, Poland), followed by a series of three dates in London on July 11, 12 and 14.

It’s a comfortable 62 Fahrenheit here and we over-heated Torontonians are loving it. Of course a Los Angelenos will see it diffently but once Adam starts dancing, he will warm himself and the whole stadium

Funny, krad. Just the opposite for me. I found Queen when I was 7 in the late 70’s and still play their vinyl. I fell in love with Adam because he reminded me so much of Freddie. I cried when he died. I was in college and my friends thought I was a little nuts. Music brings everyone together, how cool.

nkd – I seem to remember watching him at Live Aid and thinking that he might be HIV positive. He had been quite ill and doctors had been working to help him with his voice before the event. I thought he was amazing that day.
