I don’t get the Nemo reference. I’ve never seen it. Not much of a cartoon watcher.
What a crazy few days! Adamized and I had a weekend house party at our homes for some of the ALLers coming to the Maryland show after MSG. Cwm and I had this brilliant idea that we should have a water spitting contest after dinner at my house on Saturday. We wanted to see just how difficult Adam’s water spout trick really was. Well, the hardest part for me was not laughing hysterically half way through and spitting water all down the front of me. And my spout was pretty lame too, but I kept trying for the fun of it. Cwm was actually quite good and figured out the trick to filling her mouth, pursing her lips and using her cheek muscles. She was able to do a good spout standing up and laying down arching her back. Nkd, rs, & adamized only tried once or twice without much success. Krads thought we were all crazy, especially when cwm, nkd and I told her that being spit on by Adam in Philly was one of the most exhilarating experiences of our lives.
Many thanks to M & P for getting to the Merriweather Pavilion really early. We were there 4 hours before the show, but working our way up the line and joining M was great and gave us a plum position right next to the mini thrust in the hot, sweaty mayhem of the pit. The crowd in the pit was completely crazy and absolutely joyous with love for Adam and Queen. Adam was feeding off the crowd and was as sexy and goofy as ever. Brian was glowing with happiness. It was worth every sweaty minute to be part of that crowd and see the guys at such close range. Although when Adam is on stage, I don’t see anything else. Between his facial expressions and his hip movements, I’m just a gaping, mesmerized fool.
My sister and daughter came to the concert and had seats off to the side in the pavilion. My daughter is a former eye roller, but has become more accepting of my “hobby” over the years. She was visiting from California and I’m so happy that she got to see what all the fuss is about. She really enjoyed the concert and all the energy in the crowd. She said it was a great show and that Adam is “a very talented performer”. She loved his facial expressions and his goofiness. But the thing that this (really) 29 year old, married woman was most starry eyed about was his leather pants! Oh! She really does get it. I haven’t talked to my sister yet, but she told my daughter that she also “gets it” now.
So I had to work today and tomorrow while cwm & adamized get to play. Then Wednesday we’re off to New Jersey to meet luval for our last concert of the marathon. (sigh!)

He gently interprets the heart of this beautiful song in the beginning and then slowly builds it. Powerful. I think he develops this composition to it’s fullest beauty and intent.
(On a side note: I sometimes wonder… Does Adam KNOW what he’s doing when he does the little dance-y moves on that happy black stool to the upbeat? Especially in those delightful gold pants? I mean, does he understand the little subtleties… what this does to us gals? Hmm.

The “pow” discussion reminds me of a little concert 2 or 3 years ago in Sacramento when Adam gleefully ordered the unsuspecting crowd to do the “pows” with him.
