For the 10th anniversary of the Classic Rock Magazine’s Roll of Honour, they decided to move the event from the UK to the US. Queen and Adam are up for Rock Band of the Year and may perform at the Avalon in Hollywood. The event will be live on the Classic Rock radio network featuring a pre-event special, Live Red Carpet, backstage coverage and live performances. The show will also be broadcast on the AXS TV on December 28th.
The pre-event special starts at 5:30 PM PT (8:30 PM ET). The awards show starts at 9 PM PT.

Wow, woke up and had to check, I am so happy for them. Sammy Hagar’s comments were hilarious, he had his own successful round of replacing a much loved singer in a popular band. But as he said the singer he replaced was still around. LOL.
For anyone she doesn’t know he was hired by Van Halen to replace fired David Lee Roth, to the chagrin of many at the time.
This award is so awesome for them, I hope it gets added to the promo pkgs in Europe.

Hi Kradamour. I don’t think Grammys will have any connection with this award. Queen and Adam have never recorded anything together. And this is reason enough to be surprised (to me) that they won band of the year.
Hi all, I was so excited to watch this all go down last nite, so happy for Adam and Queen.
So isnt is a shame that rock is so not acknowledged like the Country that is all over the news this morning, and TV, and they cant even mention the Rock Awards? Well country is bigger I guess.
What kind of category would Adam or Queen fit in for a Grammy? Do they make one that they could be nominated in?
Amazing that Monte knew where Adam really fits, rock, blues, humm, remind you of someone. I wonder where his album will go, I hope its not all pop, he can leave it to JT, Bruno, and those other guys.

Wow! I am so happy for Adam and the guys for winning this very well deserved award. What an honor!
This collaboration with Queen has been a win-win situation for everyone. I really hope that they follow up their European tour with some time in the recording studio together. It’s mind boggling to think of what they could do with their combined talents. I’m also hoping for lots of rock and blues on Adam’s next solo album. Rock and blues showcase Adam’s voice so much better than pop, that bastion of auto tune.
Also, on a more shallow note, Adam looked so classy last night. Luval, I knew you’d appreciate the longer hair on the sides. Me too! I also like the return to what appears to be his natural hair color. It looks really good with his blue eyes and freckles, as it should.
It’s about 1:30pm here and I am still on a high from last night!!!!
Do you notice how Brian really emphasizes the word “organically” wheneverhe mentions how they found Adam? Maybe people are still thinking that Queen went out and looked for a lead singer.
I’ve noticed that too, luval. I think Brian wants to make it very clear, especially to the Freddie purists, that they are touring again only because they found Adam.
