For the 10th anniversary of the Classic Rock Magazine’s Roll of Honour, they decided to move the event from the UK to the US. Queen and Adam are up for Rock Band of the Year and may perform at the Avalon in Hollywood. The event will be live on the Classic Rock radio network featuring a pre-event special, Live Red Carpet, backstage coverage and live performances. The show will also be broadcast on the AXS TV on December 28th.

The pre-event special starts at 5:30 PM PT (8:30 PM ET). The awards show starts at 9 PM PT.

    8.40pm: Bruce Kulick has just sent a tweet klaxon.

    8.35pm: People have been asking about the menu, so here goes.

    •Starter: mixed greens with red flamed grapes, gorgonzola and candied walnuts, served with champagne vinaigrette dressing on the side.
    •Entree: Roasted garlic and pepper crusted New York strip in a portwine glaze, garlic whipped potatoes, steamed asparagus with garlic and lemon zest.
    •Desert: flourless chocolate cake with vanilla bean ice cream, raspberry drizzle on the side garnished with mint.

    We must admit we’re a bit baffled by the desert. A flourless chocolate cake? Surely a cake, by its very definition, is made from flour. Next, they’ll be telling us you can make an omelette without breaking eggs.

    Woke up just a little while ago, in time to see the news of the QAL win, so now I am lying in bed crying for joy. I am so happy for them, both Adam and the boys. They couldn’t have done it without each other. A true and perfect collaboration.
    (I would have a whole row of emoticons jumping for joy and clapping here but they are so hard to do on this iPad…)
