The Queen + Adam Lambert tour kicks off Thursday night in the “Windy City” of Chicago with many ALLers taking in the opening concert. The atmosphere will be electric as we wait to see what Q+AL have planned to entertain us. If the iHeartRadio appetizer is an indication of what is to come, we are in for a moveable musical feast!

Yes, HKfan, that’s because the comment was a Guest replying to George F, one of the worst trolls on there. There was a tiny arrow from the word Guest to George F. He jumped from the first interview with Adam right into the review comments and continued his sorry tirade.
Hubby has been reading all the reviews, and comments (LOL) and noticed it right away.
So tired of their stupid mantra and ceaseless whining. I resolved not to read any more comments at RS or Yahoo. That is where they dwell.

I could live in his higher register, too. My God, he sounds better than ever!!! And I am now in love with In The Lap of the Gods, too.
But Love Kills, those last few words he delivers in the most beautiful velvet tone EVER.
And, in the fast part when he jumps the octave, the word “emotions” – the “ions” part is still floating when he goes right into the word “Open…invitation to your heart.” HOW DOES HE DO THAT?????
And he looked soooooo beautiful last night, sexy and a little flamboyant but in a very classy way. That copper lace shirt and copper pants: WOW. Loved the gold fringe with studs and those pants (I believe they are the Dragon Attack pants). I just loved every outfit.
Which brings me to the crown. To me, and to hubby, it was a homage to Freddie’s crown, and also a sort of reward, like: Here, you passed the strenuous Queen obstacle course, and here is your reward. It’s a princely crown, not a monarch’s crown like Freddie’s with velvet, ermine, red cape with ermine trim, sceptre. He looked just lovely.
And I haven’t seen any but pleasant comments about it. Of course, I don’t go on the Queen forums, so there is that. But it seems pretty harmless to me.

Good morning everyone! Didn’t get home until midnight due to plane problems but didn’t even care! This show was exactly like Juneau described and more. Best show I have EVER seen in my life.
I already posted about the dinner the previous night. Other than the rain it was great. The Greek restaurant staff was wonderful, food great and of course the company was stellar!
Right from the start arriving and seeing the long long lines to get in. Apparently someone from the venue said this never happens..what is going on?
The arena seemed to be literally shaking as we were waiting for the show to start. Now I wasn’t familiar with either of the two opening songs but it was so overwhelming after all this wait I didn’t even care. Song after song, wardrobe change after wardrobe change it got better and better. What a production! It’s all a blur right now but I will relive it all watching the videos. I even enjoyed Roger’s drum solo with Rufus. And Brian is an amazing amazing lead guitarist.
Now Adam…could not keep my eyes off him as usual. Yes, I know there were lights, etc somewhere behind him lol but he was the front man in all his glory. His voice soared to the farthest seats. And looking at the crowd there were all smiles…big smiles, arms pounding…just peeps totally happy this is all back.
asifclueless wanted me to pass along a little story. Hope I get it somewhat correct. There were a couple of men in front of her…huge Queen fans…who she talked to a bit who were skeptical about “this Lambert guy”. They didn’t even stand up at first. She asked that they talk to her after the show for their opinion. Needless to say, their minds were changed and they couldn’t stop praising him.
Bet there were many stories like this.
Adam’s clothes were pretty much all sparkling. The tank top, the leopard suit. Yup…maybe not glitter but rhinestones and glam are back!!! Yay!!! But oddly I didn’t see red on him that I noticed. There were a few people with the “colors” but really just very very rock concert casual…tee shirts, jeans, cut-offs. I did notice a few Glam Nation and Adam Lambert tees there. So no need to stress on what to wear. Wear whatever the hell you want!
The weather for the 3 days was pretty much awful. BUT, waiting in the looooooooooooooooooog line to get in the rain stopped. Perfect. After it was over it poured again.
I couldn’t help watching Brian smiling oh so much at Adam during the show. What killed me at the beginning of Love of My Life. was when he says “We’re so grateful to be here. It’s wonderful to be back. In the presence of a great singer I don’t really want to sing…….” I think I shed a tear when he said that. Crowd singing along was nice.
The show was pretty much family friendly. Like GN started. Not sure if that will change but you never know. Costumes could change, songs could change. We shall see!
After the show we went to mil’s suite for a nice get-together. Yesterday morning most of us went to breakfast before everyone had to leave. It was great! Just meeting, laughing, having fun was so much a part of the whole experience.
Gotta run now but I’m sure I’ll think of more to add.
And another thing…glambotgram…so nice to see you again and chat! We never have much times at these concerts. Hope to see you in toronto

Haven’t finished watching all the vids yet, but was surprised to see Adam tweet out a metallic lace top pic??? Haven’t seen a pic or vid of that so far….
Just need to add again that I loveed the first look with the studded biker jacket and sunglasses, had a real retro vibe to it with the hair.Hot, hot hot.
And I love the gold studs, spikes and paint added to the fringes. Really looks great in that.
luval yes it was great seeing you again as well. Loved the get-togethers. It seems to be an integral part of these concerts that we have an after concert conference, just to reaffirm the joy and spectacle of it all. Did you see this or that? Can you believe he did this? He is so magical I sometimes think it really couldn’t have been that wonderful, but of course it was, and everyone else saw and felt what I did. Hope that makes sense I am babbling here.
I do hope I can make Toronto too.

It was so wonderful to meet so many of you, and see old friends again!!
I’ll try to add to what has already been posted.
My trip to Chicago was uneventful,just a two hour drive for me into the West Loop from home. It was a sunny and nice drive after a huge storm.
I had a couple of hours to myself before people started arriving, and thanks to the phone list made by our nkd, I was able to contact several of our posters. I made “First contact” with asif.
Many of us made it up to our king Suite for a pre-dinner meeting, squeeing and fan-girl experience. Dinner was delicious and well- attended. Yummy Greek food and great company. Most of us arrived soaking wet, except for jojosie and myself who decided to take a cab!
So, just as we were gathering, I went back out to the hostess, and told her that most of us wouldn’t know whose name our reservation was under, that maybe some would be asking for the Adam Lambert party…true story…she says “Oh I LOVE him”.. unreal, I go into we are a fan group here to see him with Queen..she squees a bit..I’m kvelling…I told her to look up the IHeartRadio from Monday night, she promises she will…after dinner, she has already gone on her IPhone in the back room and started looking…she’s a Glambert. Another one bites the dust. YES!
For the dinner I had a LIST at everyone’s plates, special for Adam/Queen, an homage of sorts to Love Kills.
I also had worked for a few weeks making some charm bracelets to give away to everyone, but, the cost got away from me, so I shared them at a gift price, and to my surprise, everyone liked them and wanted one!! And wore them for our whole trip. YAY!!
To my even greater surprise, the crown charm that I selected matched the one that Adam actually wore, I kind of anguished over the selection of the charm, because The Queen emblem and the one that Freddie wore so proudly, was more of a sovereign crown, more rounded, and I had selected an open crown, and lo and behold, it matches our boy’s crown!! Double YAY!
I only mention the bracelets because I ended up having a story to tell about it . Not this one.
