    Morning Ron. I read the review early this morning and wondered what folks would have to say. I think I get what the writer way trying to say. Odd that he felt that Adam wasn’t quite yet incorporated into the band enough to be a true front-man. For those of us whom have witnessed the progression of where he was when he first sang with them at the EMAs and where he is now it is hard to see any lack of confidence or incorporation. OTOH, I believe that the new configuration of Queen isn’t about having a front-man with a band but instead having an iconic band composed of hugely talented people including Adam Lambert. It is something new which will be constantly changing. Too bad he couldn’t have seen it for that instead of worrying about how it may have compared to what is once was.

    One of the interesting things about that review is that he thinks that a possible solution to the problem of Adam fitting with Queen is for Adam to record with the band. He wouldn’t be saying that if he was a knee-jerk Queen fan.

    The review is a reflection of the writer’s ambivalence – he says something nice, then he pulls back, then he does it again and again.

    We all bring baggage to a concert. Our baggage is a full complement of Louis Vuitton luggage in all available sizes and colours, full of reality-transcending sights, moments, sounds and memories of Adam. This guy is carrying a 1980’s vintage set, which is missing a couple of key pieces, in his head. And he’s having a hard time putting the two together.

    After reading through queenonline the last few days, he sounds like a fan to me.

    Thanks ron. You are a love Heart I am planning on getting a new camera before I leave. It isn’t a big DSLR, but not a little point and shoot either, so I am a bit concerned. It is more like the cameras that Suz used when she videoed Adam’s shows.

    I don’t know what happened to me, I used to be so impressed by ” the show must go on” but now I feel it is just so-so… However: ” Somebody to love”, ” Don’t stop me now” and of coure WWTLF still steal the show for me… Hope they will perform “Dragon Attack” and “I want to break free” once they leave the American Continent…

    Hi rs!

    Just got off the phone will a Fan Services Rep at Air Canada Centre for special events/concerts.

    No video or audio recording devices.

    Non-flash cameras are allowed but up to, and not exceeding, 75mm.

    I hope that this fits in with your plans.

    Axxxel Same for me. The songs you cited, plus Love Kills (and BoRhap)were incredible. TSMGO, and a few of the earlier songs were also – in Calgary – diminished by the noise of the band; Adam’s voice was hard to hear.

    As for cameras – they were really strict. I didn’t see any around us – just smartphones and mini-pads. Everyone had to go through a security check like those things at the airports. My bag was searched and the guy wanted me to dump my juice but I persuaded him he hadn’t seen it!

    Had to register to get to read the article – hate having to do that but I broke down!
    But I am glad that I did – here’s a quote from the blog

    If you hate the idea of a band moving on, that’s fair enough. Your albums aren’t going anywhere; you can hold on to your memories of past concerts. But don’t feel that your fandom makes you the custodian of the band’s legacy, and don’t ever think that you’re entitled to make demands of those musicians because saw them back in the day.
