Reviewer living in the past – old poop – actually it’s not that bad, but after reading the tweets tonight, didn’t just fit in.

So…I’m home. Wow! What a concert! We had fantastic seats, worth every penny. We were at about the same height and only 30 feet away from the little ‘balconies’ that cantilevered off the sides of the stage, and Adam and Brian spent way more time on the one on our side than the other. I’ll just do a quick recap because I’m off tomorrow morning to Vancouver and the show there. After the poorest organisation I have ever seen, and a one-hour delay to the beginning of the concert,`the evening got off to a bit of a slow start with the less familiar songs but soon took off. Plus the sound seemed band-heavy – hard to hear the vocals sometimes, especially in Under Pressure. On that one song it might have been Roger’s mike.
Then along came Love Kills. I thought I would melt, it was so amazing. Then WWTLF – just about finished me off – it was MAGNIFICENT!Crowd was in a frenzy by then. Bo Rhap was also incredible.
The banter was hilarious. At one point, wearing the gold creepers, he said “Look what I can do with my shoes”, went up on the toes and walked en pointe! Then laughed and said “I’m a 7-year-old” and the audience howled.
As for the lady with the ‘tits’ – she was one of 8 sitting right on the stage- those lucky dogs – he was doing an audience response thing and he took over the mike to them and wasn’t impressed: “That was terrible!” “You can do better with those big tits!” he said to the woman. “I can’t sing, that’s why I have big tits” she replied. “I can say that cause I’m a fag” he said as he chuckled and waltzed away. And man they were big, clearly man-made and on full display.
The last 4 songs sounded a bit chipmunk-y but were still great. The crowd went CRAZY for BoRhap. Two song encore – probably cause we started so late. It was an all round incredible evening.
Sorry my twitter and IG were so feeble. There is apparently a lot more to learn. That is my soundless IG and I have no idea what song it was!

Just a note about scalpers and ticketmonster_- I tried to get the best seats on the sides but those sections never appeared for sale anywhere; maybe one or two seats for exhorbitant amounts on the re-sellers. So there we sat staring across at at least 40 empty seats. I hope whoever tried to scalp them and failed lost their shirts. I can’t think of any other reason why the best seats in the house would be empty. I can’t complain, though, as it turned out ours were probably even better.

Forgot to add – in Calgary, where our big summer fair is the Calgary Stampede – an agricultural fair, a huge midway, and one of the biggest rodeos in north america, we have a tradition of giving guests of the city a white cowboy hat.
Brian and Roger graciously wore their for a couple of songs. Adam would have brought the house down if he had donned one too, but he didn’t.

Have only just started reading this thread, and got as far as ‘that’ interview…..and I must say my first reaction was the same as luvals..in fact I stopped it half way through because I thought she was so bad….But then I read the next couple of comments here about how good she was, so thought, OK maybe I better watch it all. And yes she was better in the 2nd half, but still didn’t like it.
