Thanks for the thread again. Al and everyone. I am happy I found my earphones, so I dont have to disturb my husband and he can watch TV, you just cant get good sound from the computer without turning it up high, and the earphones make the sound a lot better.

I saw that globalnews interview on twitter and I really didn’t like it. That girl did not know any history on Adam. She said he came from a reality show and nothing about his 20year past in the business. And this silly thing about the two types of fans, some of which are embarrassed about being there? What was that all about? She also brought up how shocking it was that that there are still seats available. No…did not like most of this interview. The guy was great, though.

Thanks AL and eywflyer for the fantastic threads, mlg for the gorgeous posters, and everyone here for bringing all of the treats and goodies. This tour has been amazing so far, and I’m looking forward to hearing about another barn-stormer tonight.
I’ve been following people’s gobsmacked reactions and the fantastic reviews and seeing the amazing pics that people are sharing, but I’ve scarcely had time to view very many videos. Maybe that’s for the best, since it won’t spoil me for my first show in San Jose – coming up in just 5 DAYS!!
AL – I do have one request. Is there a central place where you could post this spreadsheet, so that we can easily track whether venues are sold out, % of seats sold, how many they seat, etc.? I find this information really interesting about how the different venues are doing and the revenue generated. Thanks! You da best!!

luval, I thought she was very very supportive of Adam, saying what a wonderful performer he is and how no one else but him could front Queen. She’s probably talking about people who’ve talked to her station about that meme that people from reality shows have no rock cred – that controversy is alive and well on YouTube too, but I bet like she says, and like from the other shows, there will be a lot of very surprised people tonight.
I thought the woman on the news interview was very complimentary about Adam fronting Queen (and Adam in general come to that) She is a radio announcer and was quoting what callers to the radio show had been saying about being a Queen fan and feeling “guilty” about going to see an ex-idol fronting their rock band. I didn’t agree with her that younger concert goers won’t know the Queen songs…I can’t imagine anyone who hasn’t heard them played at some time. There’s nothing funnier than hearing my 5 year old grandson singing “Fat Bottom Girls”. Priceless! It’s funny that we can hear the same thing and get a different vibe. That’s great, how it should be.
Luval Did we view the same global TV interview? I found the Q107 host was so very positive and complimentary about Adam and is obviously a fan. Her comments about the fans’ perspectives reflected the views expressed by callers on her radio show and not her own, and she did say that it would be the concert of the year – pretty great, IMO

Kiwi I agree that the kids today do know many of those iconic Queen songs. Even my 6 year-old grand-daughter loves their music and loves “Fweddie” and her favourite songs are “Under Pressure” and “Those Were The Days of Our Lives” – and she knows all the lyrics!

haha everyone! Just goes to show we can hear the same interview and each get a different opinion out of it! She did get better near the end but IMO only because the guy was challenging her.
I listened again and it just seemed like a back door praise for him. Maybe I need to clean out my ears.
My son is a huge Queen fan but turned me down flat when I asked him to see the show in Australia with me (at my expense!) He was one who didn’t want to see Queen fronted by an ex-idol. Very odd to me, as he liked Adam on idol…just not with Queen! A couple of days later he got back to me asking if I’d found someone because he would go. I was pleased to tell him, sorry, too late. Naughty of me to be pleased but don’t you diss ADAM!!!!!
