Where better for Queen and Adam to perform than in a palace. Actually the venue is the Palais 12 in Brussels, Belgium. It opened in 2013 so is one of the newest venues on the tour.

Why 12 ? Because there are already 11 others…when I used to live in Belgium (in the dutch part but not in Brussels) a lifetime ago, those “palaces” were actually exposition halls… in the outskirts of the Belgian capital, Brussels.

I think Palais/Paleis 12 is also a multifunctional hall, I think it used to be a part of an exposition park (Brussels Expo) that was first built for the world exposition in 1958. The most known building of this park is the Atomium (which represents the atom “Fe” or Iron : http://atomium.be/
Near the Atomium is Mini Europe.. some minuature version of Europe… I only remember the mini tower of Pisa, I think it is in marble and a bit taller than me..

I am not surprised. Generally when you get a cold, flu symptoms, bronchitis…it seems to get worse before it gets better. It does with me, anyway.
I remember early on Brian said they would take very good care of Adam & not push him (my words). Little did they know at that time he’s a beast and “olympian” with that voice. Just gets stronger and stronger.
This is just a hiccup. The GFG will be back!
Thats a real shame for the fans, especially those who have flown in from other places, but his health is more important. This gives him 3 days to recover before Milan.

Yeah and the virus is all around in Europe and really persistent. Its really a bitch this winter. Taking a short break is going to be good for all of them!
Then again, better this way than adding more damage… hope audience get a refund… and hope that the great belgian food like chocolate pralines and brussels waffels can cure Adam fast…if he is in Belgium…
ETA: and Belgian speciality beers for those who got stranded in Brussels and want to wash their sorrow away…as there will be no possibility for another concert in Brussels.

Axxxel! I was reading the Mayo clinic site a minute ago although my block quote is from WebMd. They basically say the same thing. 24hrs doesn’t seem like long enough to recover. Maybe it’s not as bad as it could be, though. Unless it comes from “the horse’s mouth” I’ll wait & see.

It scares me a bit that it is not just one concert he has to push, but quite many… At the same time sorry that the Belgian show cannot be rescheduled, to the end of the tour or something. But we don’t know all the things behind the scenes. Sigh. I think I am going to heat up my sauna because of this evening off. Feeling blue for Adam. Nasty “fans” are taking every advantage of this and I know this is hard for him anyway
I was very concerned about Brian performing when he had the flu, not because he couldn’t put on a great show, but because all the exertion and running around that he does, being on stage the whole concert, sweating under the lights, etc. could have made him a lot more sick and even leading to pneumonia. With Adam it is a different story. If he tries to sing too soon he could seriously damage his precious instrument. Adam is a trouper, stubborn, and doesn’t want to disappoint the fans, but if there is one thing I know, he is surrounded by people who love him and want only the best for him. They won’t let him do anything that could be dangerous for his future.

Hopefully Adam will feel well enough to perform and gets the approval from his doctors. It may be best to take more time to recover but TSMGO. There are 9 shows left and the only back-to-back shows are at the very end of the tour.

Aljoscha Crema Yes he drank water after every song right at the start of the show. Then had a break for about 30 min when they did solos/Loml and 39 and as he came back I had the impression he felt more sick than before in the first half.
Still awed that he did that show so beautiful even being sick and all. Fighting with my own cough since Hamburg. I know that i couldnt have done a sixth of what he has done yesterday feeling like shit. Respect!!!
