A good friend is at this show tonight. I’m so happy she’s getting to see Adam with Queen. I met her four years ago through an Adam related blog, and we’ve been fast friends ever since; we’re like twins. I say this because I think it’s amazing how Adam has brought so many of us together, and there are lifelong friendships that have been formed because of our involvement with him. I’m grateful for all of you here that I’ve met and even those I’ve not. I think our little “corner of the world” here is spectacular!
Happy a glorious evening, and may there be a delicious dinner for us to partake.

Okay, asmallworld, first of all, yer gonna need a nickname. Too many letters to keep typing, fingers gonna get cramped, fingers gonna be twitchy, I don’t wanna end up maimed….I’ll go with smalls.

So, smalls, ( ooh, I like it already ), ya’all need a little education about The Corner.
The corner is a place of contemplation. It is a place of quiet study. It is a place of firm ( yes, I said firm ) devotion to a subject. It is not to be taken lightly. It is a place taken seriously by it’s devotees.
It’s in my basement. And sub-basement. It has many chambers and nooks, and crannies, there have been several additions over the years. The construction never ends. It takes careful maintenance. It takes many trips to hardware stores and home decorating shops.
There are posters, cozy chairs, a Pants Hall of Fame, a boyfriend section, a Queen section, a Red Carpet area, Glam Nation, an entire Whole Lotta Love wing, a re-creation of the Milwaukee stairs, not to mention the Glam ER fully stocked with medical supplies and Glam Towels. There are Melvins, turbans, bhindis, ponchos and laces. There may even be a huge sub sub sub basement dedicated to …erm…the bulge.
Most importantly, it takes a lot of imagination to find it. You often will find asif, myself, glambotgram and nkd there.
Sometimes, when thingz get too pervy, we send each other there. It’s our naughty place. And it’s completely Adam’s fault.
ETA. I’ve been a bit busy traveling lately, the Lazy Susan isn’t done yet. The couch is being re-upholstered. And I just found the right purple velvet. Next, come the
*** shiver*** fringes.
Gonna need a back-hoe, need to excavate for the addition, those fringes need a new building.
