The Queen and Adam Lambert “Once In A Lifetime” tour wraps up tonight at the second sold-out show at the Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand. It seems that not long ago we were just getting the news about the tour and now it will soon be over – 35 shows in 6 countries. It truly will become one of the “remember when” concerts for those fortunate to see them live. So break out the champagne and dark chocolate and let’s celebrate this last “Once In A Lifetime” experience! Sleep is so over-rated!

Not bad review – was for last night’s concert –
I’m with everyone here…sad to see it all over. Its been a great tour, even though I didn’t get to see any of the shows live. I hope they don’t leave it too long before they do anymore, they need to do some more in Europe and go down to South America….
Looking forward to his own music now….and keeping fingers crossed for some more tv work in the pipeline.

Glad to see this:
“For now”…hopefully Adam will be able to go ahead and plan more Q+AL dates for next spring/summer. Although there could be conflicts with his label as they may want him available for album promo. They were able to juggle dates and get everything scheduled in summer 2012, although at the time I didn’t think it was really a great idea to take Adam out of the country for 6 weeks right after his album had been released. Who knows what the plan will be this time around.

With music, charts, singles, radio play…the whole music biz seeming to change over the last couple of years, who knows how an artist and his music can be promoted anymore? All these overnight one hit wonder youtube kids are popping up all over the place. Crazy.
Luval, yea I don’t know what to make of the music business anymore. It seems like almost no artists have any staying power on the radio, it’s just an endless series of one hit wonders and novelty items. Few of whom have much actual talent.
Frankly, the thought of having to worry about airplay, sales, adds and all that crap again is depressing. I’d rather Adam just put out an album with music he wants to make and let it sink or swim. If it sinks, he has other options. I really don’t see Brian and Roger working with anyone else as their frontman for the rest of their active music careers at this point.
I think that is just what Adam is going to do. Adam will be true to himself and his values. He won’t put out crap just to get radio play. And thanks to the Queen connection and the high esteem that he is held in by so many of the people who really know his worth and talent, he is in the position now that he can do just that. He doesn’t have to be a One Hit Wonder, a Justin Bieber, or someone who leaves the scene as quickly as he came. He will have a solid and multidimensional career for as long as he wants it.
Boy, you have been busy! Almost 400 comments already! Guess I need to get busy and start going through the thread to see what I missed. I’ll post what I can for now.
