    Am sick and tired of the QAL haters. Amazing opportunity for Adam. I see where Sara Bareilles had to “call in sick” for several of her Broadways shows. I imagine JCS has understudies. They’d have to for a live show.

    I can’t agree with this, from the cravepodcast review, about Adam’s solo appearances:

    When I’ve seen him perform as a solo act, he’s been a highly adequate, but ultimately uninspiring, performer, and it’s only when his setlist reaches the classics he’s borrowed from, well, the likes of Queen that his show comes alive,

    Adam’s shows are very lively and he’s entertaining and inspiring (OR thousands of fan testimonials are lies).
    And, Roger has a lovely singing voice, higher range than Freddie, and very successful solo recordings with his band.

    A week since my QAL concert, hard to believe. What a week… I was trying to get home on Tuesday in the middle of Cyclone Gita. All flights cancelled, no rental cars, no hotel rooms. Bus was the only option. Three tall (lovely) guys took me under their wing and made sure I got back to New Plymouth airport safely. (Three bus transfers later) Air NZ washed their hands of two plane loads of passengers so it was public transport. I met so many people on the trip and every one of them who asked why I was in Auckland, immediately said ” Queen? They have that new guy Adam Lambert, he’s amazing!” It made my heart sing that finally his name is out there.
    I finally got home 14 hours later (instead of a 30min plane trip)and have had no power for three days. It should have been scary but instead I found it quite exhilarating.
    The show was amazing, lighting and production spectacular and the band mind blowing. Loved every second.
