Liked the second review much better than the first one. Looked like an amazing show. Wish I had time to watch the videos but am getting ready to head to Toronto. There is a huge thunderstorm going on so I hope I don’t lose power!

Me three, smalls and turquoise, me three, can we have an amen.
I do believe Adam was pretty much directing traffic for that performance. Did you notice him signalling something to somebody part way through? IDK, but he is just getting so comfortable as the front man for these incredible, iconic musicians. The beautiful balance between him knowing what’s needed for a song to go well, and his innate humility about this opportunity just gets me every time!

I agree, Tothebeat. Adam is growing even more comfortable & confident in his fronting of Queen, and in maturity leading on-stage in large arena venues.
He delivers DA with captivating authority and MAKES us believe (very similar attribute credited to the late, great Freddie, himself).
And, it’s darn sexy. Really sexy.
…Whether it’s the brilliant vocals & interpretation that Adam delivers, Brian May’s genius in writing it & rocking it, Roger’s drums show…that ‘bouncy’ thing Mr. Lambert graces us with….and those other… err… moves…
Well, (*whew*), it’s just crazy good.

Was going to post about the AC concert, but that vimeo he just put up took the joy out of it. Maybe another time –
I was planning on being very annoyed if big tall men stood in front of me last night. Since I was only 5 rows back from the thrust that would be the only thing that would keep me from having an awesome view. Well, guess what? I’m actually in that photo at the top of the page. See the woman in the lower left of the picture in the white shirt and brown scarf standing by the big tall man in a black shirt? That’s not me. If you zoom in on the man you can see what looks like a hump back and extra arm hanging off of his back. That’s the back of my head and my arm, haha. Yes, he and the man beside him were standing right in front of me and they stood almost the whole show and pretty much blocked my view completely when Adam was on the main stage. Was I annoyed? No, they were there primarily to see Queen and I loved watching as they cheered so hard for every single song. My favorite part was when Adam had us singing along and he did the way low notes and then the way high notes. Those big, burly Queen fans never missed a beat and enthusiastically called back to Adam every time no matter how low or how high he went. Awesomeness!!! Then there’s the guy in the gray shirt standing behind me. Every time there was a lull he would talk to his wife about how he missed Freddie and how no one was ever going to be able to match up to Freddie. When Brian asked what we thought of the new guy the man didn’t cheer and said he wasn’t going to give Adam any props. His wife said you have to admit he can sing and the guy agreed he could sing and that was that. The only other thing I can tell you about him is that he yelled and cheered as hard and loud as I did after every single song. No props indeed!!
Other than the fun I had surrounded by those 3 men who called themselves Queen fans but who were totally into and loving the show I also loved getting to see QAL do Dragon Attack and getting to see Killer Queen close up (yes, I could see Adam well when he was on the small stage).
Oh, and did I mention how Adam saw me in the crowd, smiled and looked like he was happy to see me there? Ok, so he was *probably* just looking in my general direction and just happened to smile and look happy but he damn sure made me feel like he was smiling at me and happy to see me. How does he do it? How does he connect to an audience like that? He has such special magic and he always makes me so happy.

Hi madness, so glad you got to the last US show and enjoyed your recap. Maybe someday our paths will cross again. That time needs to hurry as I’m not getting any younger. Hopfully when Adam tours his next album we’ll make it happen.
