Adam performs a charity concert benefiting The Trevor Project at the Morongo Casino. It’s a cozy venue for a 1000 or so. It should be interesting to see what songs Adam performs during his hour-long set.

Personally, I plan to make my guest bedroom a virtual Wicked Game by Adam video world, and live in it indefinitely.
The arrangement was pure rhumba, very sensual, and OMG his voice and expression were so seductive – killer performance. I hope the audience was on birth control

My stream was perfect, no ads, so rare. Agree with firsttimerob That intro was stunning. You could tell his voice was in optimum condition, silky, satiny just to die for. Loved all the songs although not crazy about the IIHY arrangement, but we know he tweaks everything. Was hoping for The Light, but it will come in due time I think.

Oh, I actually like Underground both on the album and live, and it seems pretty popular, lots of good comments on both the official one and last night’s version.
I read tweets or instagrams last night from the supposed musical director. He mentioned that he had been working with Adam since the Ellen performance.
Can’t find them now.
That was our question too luval. We thought he said “my musical director Chris” and none of band guys was named Chris. He also mention how “professional” the musicians/band were, which we all agreed with.
He was so alive and happy and busting his buttons (that is a saying isn’t it?) and yes Ron those were real lights all over his shirt. Spectacular! I think he turned them on with his body movement. He did some weird gyrations as they came on. Ghost Town paired with OOL; it was the best show opener I have seen! The sound was spot on and the light, wow, beautiful.
It seems like there a lot of great vid. being posted and interesting how some of you critique the songs. It is so different when you are there because while you are trying to just focus on HIM and the music, there is so much happening around you. i.e. peeps dancing in front of you so you have to weave and bob to keep your eyes on the prize. We were right on the center isle and the security guys keep walking back and forth trying to keep peeps out of the isle (like that is possible, lol) One SPG that some of you might have recognized, (I have seen her at every West Coast concert) kept sneaking up front and trying to pretend she had a seat, but security came and hauled her back three times. lol
One other observation – the mix of the audience was quite different. Younger, much more male representation and then, of
course, the old regular crowd, of whom I recognized many.

So much my thoughts exactly. but didnt want to bring it up. I just loved WG! Can not get it out of my mind. I watched all the other Idols singing it, well part of it, OMG the actual worst was Phillip Phillip, how in the world did he win Idol? Actually much to my surprise Kris Allens version wasnt bad, but of course not up to par with our STAR!!!! They are (fighting) discussing over at MJ, most everyone loved it but our favorite, Super, lololol!
You need earphones on a computer tho to get the full effect.

Part 2
On a personal note: We didn’t decide to go until a couple of days ago. It said “sold out” and the only tickets available were from ticket brokers and quite expensive. But, the closer it got the more I knew I couldn’t miss it. So, I bought two tickets, one for me and one for firstimerob. My DH said he would drive us but he didn’t want a ticket. He would spend his time playing the slots.
About 30 minutes before the show Rob. and I decided to drop by the ticket office. “Do you have any tickets left for sale” I ask. “Yes, how many do you want?” Well I give her the story about how much we paid for the two and DH not going to see the show. With a little shuffling she pull up three tickets together row 7 on the center isle, “How much, I ask her.” She said, “give me your two tickets, here are your new tickets. Enjoy the show!” We went and rounded up Mr. Ret. and told him what happened. He said, “wait a minute I have to cash out. I just won $80.00 bucks.”
And a great time was had by all! lol

Quickly going through comments here.. I had a guest for weekend, so after my friend left I watched Morongo vids playlist by Cos2mwitz. Haven’t watched the stream or other vids yet. Sound quality may not be the best, but still I was blown away. I loved loved what I heard and saw. The videos captured so well all his expressions while singing. Like some of you said, it’s so much more to see him perform, not only hear.
I’ve always loved Wicked Game song, Adam’s version made me cry as well as TISI. And the beginning intro+GT was great! So first he made me cry, then really hot with all those sexy performances and loved that confident fierce attitude on last songs. Thank you for your recaps firstimerob & retjenny, you lucky ladies! I really would have loved to see and hear this intimate concert live… I miss his live voice so much it kills me!

LOL Miss Chaos, I went and read the discussion you mentioned about Wicked Game.
I think this video embodies the meaning of it, and you can hear that the original rhythm IS a slow rhumba (I just danced it to this video, fits perfectly).

Adam’s arrangement is just slightly faster and the rhythm more accentuated, making it more danceable and sensual.
But to me it was always about someone who was enticed, toyed into strong desire/passion for another, then discovered it was just a wicked game. It’s about sex, desire, being let down. To me, not “melancholy” as in a broken heart. Adam’s take to me is spot on. And not THAT far from the original.
ETA: Just following the lyrics’ meaning, too.

Just watched IIHY again and I love how he plays around with his voice and is obviously having so much fun with it.
I love Underground. It would make a great single. Just think he’s still working to find his groove on it. He is getting better and betterer – not only with the arrangements, which mils mentioned earlier, but with the visuals.
He’s clearing been prepping for this and the Marquee show in Sydney.
I am equal parts happy for and jealous of everyone who got to attend last night’s show. Between the OZ promo-tour and the SA QAL tour, we’re unlikely to get a full blown state-side show before October.

What could make driving an hour and a half in the rain fun? Going to see Adam of course. We need the rain. I love the rain, and we got to listen to The Original High over and over and over.
Upon arrival, we had a drink at the Cielo’s bar on the 27th floor, and then we went to our room to get ready for the concert.
It is so wonderful to walk into a venue, and be surrounded by people who feel like you do about Adam. he is so loved. We are in section B row 9. Adam’s mom was sitting right in front of me.
Adam’s dad came in a little later. He spoke to some people in that row, and then went to the other side for the concert. The D.J. announced that his mom was there but not Eber.
My favorite performance of the night was There I Said It. I could not take my eyes off that beautiful expressive face, and the notes he hits at the end made me feel just like Sleepwalker used to.I had to take a deep breath at the end just to calm down.
I was hoping for The Light and Shame. Maybe some other time. Although it was encouraging since he did do a song from the bonus tracks.
We had such a fabulous time. At the risk of sounding silly, no matter how many times I see Adam, it is always an original high.

I haven’t commented yet as I wanted to finish watching all the videos first…wow, did he look stunning at this mini concert..love all the close ups from cos2mwiz’s videos.
That opening, best concert opening yet….beautifully haunting OOL, love the white and the lights on the shirt…not so keen on the hat, just too big.
I kind of get what TLKC was saying about underground, there seemed a few off notes in the first half of the song, but the 2nd half was great, loved the ending…
I really liked that version of IIHY, it kind of had a touch of reggae, but also sounded a bit jazzy at times, very different, but I loved it.
And Trespassing/AOBTD was brilliant, so fierce,
TISI, god the emotion in that. I would love to know who he is singing that to or about, definitely seems like its about someone in particular.
After hours was very sexy….by least favourite one was wicked game, very sexy, but just a meh song.
I’m glad that everyone that went had a great time….what I would give to be able to see him live again.
