Adam headlines the Fifth Annual Miami Beach Gay Pride Festival today. He will perform on the Main Stage in Lummus Park. His performance is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. with Chaise Candie opening the show. See the world clock below for show times in your area.

Adam-Oksana2000Tonight’s thread and concert are dedicated to Oksana2000 who passed away on April 12th. She was a valued contributor to this and other blogs. Her fiery passion for Adam got her banned at MJs and much loved here. Although she never saw Adam live, she was able to experience the next best thing – live streams, recordings and twitter lists.     lol, Ron. He has his post show tweet down pat. Same thing after every show. Only thing is he should have said Miami Beach. I think it’s separate from Miami…different mayor, etc.

    Yup, technical difficulties happen. And Adam is a master at overcoming them. I don’t think we should make any assumptions until we hear from the people who were there. From what I can tell, Adam seemed pretty dang happy to be there and people seemed to love the show.

    Hopefully we’ll get some good vids. Hoping for decent sound as I saw a tweet talking about how the bass was so loud it rattled your bones.

    Brings back memories of Sacramento when the set was cut short as well. Not good. I am a bit sorry for the people who traveled there. They deserved more. Those chest pictures on the other hand could make you feel … all better.

    Not a happy camper tonight with Margie’s comparison of the Miami crowd size to that of Ste.-Agathe. Big Frown

    I know, at least I read, that 8,800 tickets were sold for the Ste.-Agathe concert.

    There were not 8,799 other people standing around me that night. I would guess 5,000? I think that 6,000 is possible. I don’t know.

    Anyone else who was there want to venture a guess?

    My point is that we bought tickets to see Adam in Ste.-Agathe and, at that time, it was a WOW look at how many people purchased tickets to be here. I don’t remember really thinking how many people purchased tickets but instead it was how so many people were there and wanted to see Adam. It was thrilling!

    Today it was a FREE concert, with a huge celebration going on in the background to bolster it, and Adam’s show was attended by the same amount of people that were there in Ste.-Agathe two-and-a-half years ago?

    No progress. weep

    I’ll take my discouraged self off to the side now until I get my sense of humor back.

    Funny how that concert has become so iconic…several references to it tonight. That was the vest, too, yes?
    And fireworks after! But luckily no downpour…

    Re the numbers – even a couple of thousand would have been great in the wilds of Quebec at a festival no one ever heard of…but I agree that if in fact only a few thousand showed up for Adam’s show at Pride, it is not wonderful.
    But it is an unusual sort of venue…likely other things were going on at the same time, so that a performer was only part of the wallpaper.
    As others have said, I’ll wait to hear from our boots on the ground.

    But that’ll have to be tomorrow…g’nite, peeps!

    re, the soundcheck, that tweet about not doing one was from a fan not official, and it was around the same time he looked amazing at the press interview. But the word going round twitter was that no one believed it, as sound checks are not done the day before but on the same day so maybe he did do one?
    Disappointing to only have 4 songs.
    Outfits OK, have seen better though…

    Morning cwm, thanks for the vids. When I woke up before 7:00 and checked in here on my i-pad they weren’t here so after I got up I started looking and found them on 24/7. I was set to bring them here when I saw that, true to form, you did the work for us!

    Even with the poor quality audio, his energy, joy, voice,and fabulous performance, just shines through. And I love his shout out to Crystal Waters during Naked Love.

    As for the clothes, who notices when you are mesmerized by the voice? Seriously, I try to comment only when I love what he is wearing. It could have been a bit more open and sexy (loved the chest from earlier), but who am I to know what is considered sexy at Gay Pride? Remember his get-up for that first big Gay fest in Australia? What was it called? Soooo very glad that he is done with that look.

    @rs… yeah, that was hilarious, what he wore at that Australian pride festival… At least now Adam has to do a balancing act… Having fun and expressing oneself on one hand but still in such a way that he will be still be invited to those more sensitive Asian countries… Wink

    Then again, I am not sure what to think of that nipple tweak… I am more into short playful caresses without touching the body…when on stage with people I do not really know…
